I got that old keepall from a friend. It's leather is darkish brown already, and I was wondering if there was any way to get the handles to look light colored again, cuz I like them light mor than dark...

Any suggestions? I was windering about using normal bleach but wasn't sure...

nope, no way as far as i know..

its COWHIDE and thats its natural progression.. :flower:

def dont use bleach!!!!!!!!!!

Bleach sounds like a really bad idea!

Your only option is to take it into Vuitton and have them replace the vachetta leather trim. But be forewarned that that could run upwards of $400!

My, wouldn't it be smarter to buy a friend a new bag?

btw. I like your avatar chickonspeed :flower: wanted to tell ya for quite some time, but you never seem to be on "The Person Above You Game"...

Thank you, street!

And, yes, it does make more sense to buy a new bag. I don't know how Vuitton figures these prices out!

 no one knows how designer's figure our prices... like 5000 euros for a Gucci jacket, that is maybe the ugliest thing I've ever seen... I'd persoanlly get a Birkin for that price...

I like how the handles look as new.. but I also like how the handles start to darken with use. Adds a little charm, IMO.

Too bad LV bags aren't like PCs or Used cars.. you can just trade them in for credit towards a new one. ;)

I like the color of the handles better when they are used and have the tanned/honey color.
actually, I don't really like the color of new handles
