Bloc Party

Btw Russell Lissack's haircut reminds me of this villain in Captain planet who was pretty on one side of her face and deformed on the other, so wore her hair over that side of her face. I reckon it'd be pretty annoying to only look out one eye all the time.

They are coming to Australia in August for Splendour, and doing a couple side shows (one of which is in Melbourne ). Apparently the tickets sold out in only a couple of minutes.

^ Song For Clay is amazing, and I love that its about my favorite novel by Bret Easton Ellis.

bump
i love 'song for clay', 'sunday', 'hunting for witches' and 'i still remember' off the new album. the people i've talked to either love it or hate it. maybe not as atmospheric as their first one..but they are still an amazing band

Massive fan of these guys, I saw them back in February at the Carling Academy Newcastle, they were really good. Had tickets to their DJ set afterwards, but we basially had to leave the club as soon as we'd walked in because my friend was so drunk she couldn't stand up! Gutted because word on the street is they were fantastic

I'm giving this thread a bump because this is my favorite band. They're amazing, I've seen them live twice and met them twice as well, they're so sweet and down to earth and just incredibly friendly. Not to mention gorgeous in person, and of course I can't forget to say how fantastic they are live. I'm going to try and see them in September with a few friends and I can't wait. Their music is so inspiring to me, the new album has helped me through some tough times, and just listening to them talk, knowing what makes them tick and how smart and informed they all are, it's a breath of fresh air considering some of the big bands out there these days. I love them
