I’m kind of shocked, and almost embarrassed to confess on here, how much I dig this new Blumarine.

It’s really genius that they’re jumping on the early 00’s bandwagon when so many other brands are doing the same crap! I think this is well executed and there are pieces here that are tacky for all the right reasons I can see 3 generations of clientele looking for these clothes in a heartbeat.

so appropriate for a brand like Blumarine to be doing this ahead of everyone else in the fashion biz, hopefully it pays off..

I guessed they have John Galliano SS 2010 & 2011 on their mood boards. Everything looks like a poor attempt to revive that John Galliano eras. It's just that they don't have the taste or vision to achieve that so we have this. Some of the looks look like Fashion Nova at best. Stick to what you do best Blumarine when you don't have a strong enough vision for your ambition.

I also like this...weirdly enough. As a tribute, is so much better than Rousteing's 80s fixation and it's a relief among the very camel, very subdued and "tasteful" Milan shows.

I do think these kind of thing begs for stronger models but I know that's a pipedream...

Just to play the moodboard game...furs remind me so much of Galliano's F/W 97.98 for Dior, not a bad show to reference. It also has tinges of turn of the millenium Fendi for me.

Very late 90’s early 00’s but it’s good!
It seems like Blumarine’s relevance is somehow always linked with the stylist they are working with.

The last time the brand was relevant was 10 years ago when Carlyne was involved. I hope this new energy will pay off.

It’s….fine. It’s just a tad too on the nose. The problem with almost everything now is how self-conscious and self-aware everyone is about everything they do…it’s hard to get excited by something when it never feels like anyone is putting out anything truly genuine, vulnerable or spontaneous.

Like Yohji mentioned, clothes like this demand stronger models. But that’s a pipe dream.
