Body Wash Or Soap?

Yeah, I wanna know a good difference between the 2 of these too.

Buying a body wash would be a bit extra than soap, wouldn't it? (I should probably read pages back, but I'm lazy.)

I use both liquid and bar soap, but I only have favorite soap bars (the liquid ones I just keep switching)

Favorite soap bars:

-#1 all-time favorite: Caress silkening beauty bar - it is a light orange color and the scent is described as "white peach and blend of silk blossom." The smell is absolutely heavenly. There's nothing like it. It's so clean and elegant and gentle. And the soap leaves my body really smooth as opposed to that slightly rough feeling bar soaps usually leave after washing off.

-Pre de Provence lavender soap bar that I buy at Trader Joe's. It has these dried lavender pieces in it which double as exfoliators when used directly on skin. This one leaves more of that rough as opposed to soft feeling after I use it, but it still feels really clean. The scent is my favorite thing about it because it smells like real lavender, not synthetic.

Both are highly recommended

I only do body washes-I have a long-standing grudge against bar soaps. I love the BBW Aromatherapy washes because they are a bit thicker and have the essential oils, so they're amazing as a shaving gel. I also just stocked up on a ton of Avon's body washes (they were under $2 each) and I'm starting on the Papaya/Kiwi tomorrow, along with my BBW Green Tea/Cucumber Essence.

Definitely body wash...soap is too dry isnt it? ok for hands if you wish but not for shower or bath :D

Edit: well Lush from the UK has some pretty cool soaps... but still...

Body wash... I switch back and forth between Dove sensitive skin, L'Occitane verbena shower cream, and L'Occitane lemon honey body mousse.

Hello again, old thread.

I used the black soap we were discussing earlier for a while. I like it, but it's a bit of an ordeal to get; last time I ordered it, they accidentally sent me scented soap, they were nice and offered to let me return it but I decided the whole process was too much trouble. The scent was pretty mild so I was able to use it, but I didn't order again.

I like certain Lush soaps a lot, but they are expensive and don't last me long.

Currently my favorite is Savon de Marseille, which is made from olive oil and other vegetable oils, alkaline ash from sea plants and sea salt. I like the plain olive oil one and the verbena one is nice too.

You're fancy with your soaps. I like fancy soaps for sitting next to the sink to wash your hands with, but screw using fancy soaps in the shower, they'll get down to nothing fast. At last with me, I am OCD and over-use stuff. I forget the brand name of the soaps I love, but they're so divine, my grandmother turned me onto them. For cleansing my body in the shower I like those Castile Liquid Body Wash Lavendar and even the Ivory ones (three scents)...no I dont buy from Wal-Mart...FCUK NO!!!

I don't want to pay for water which is what body wash is mostly made up of anyway. And most of the time they are chock full of preservatives and chemicals to keep them from spoiling so cold processed soap is the way to go for me at all times. I think castile is great though^. Lush soaps practically evaporate in my shower, they melt so quickly.

I use body wash because soap just slips out of my hands in the shower  Plus I just find the design more hygienic in general!
