Books You Think Would Be Great As a Movie

Books That You Feel Should be Made Into Movies

Which books did you enjoy very much, and can picture having a lot of potential in being made into amazing movies? By amazing, I of course mean not another Twilight, but something a bit more meaningful and a lot less tweenish.

I got this idea after recently having read 'Delirium' by Lauren Oliver.
It was such an amazing read, and thanks to the amazing descriptions written into it, I think a really good movie could come of it..

I would love to see Outlander by Diana Gabaldon as film or TV series. I think it would translate well to screen.

Also, The Night Circus by Erin Mortensen would be a great film, especially if a very visual director like Tim Burton, Guillermo del Toro, or Alfonso Cuaron directed it. The book is just page after page of all kinds of description, so it would give the filmmakers a lot of work with.

I'm still hoping that The Giver by Lois Lowery get's made into a film. Rumors have been floating around for years that it's suppose to be made but nothing has happened. It's one of my favorite childhood books and could make a really interesting, insightful film.

The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennet would make a fantastic quirky film. I could see someone like Wes Anderson turning this book into a film.

The Luxe series by Anna Godbersen would also be a really cool series turned into a film or perhaps a mini-series. It's kinda soap-opery but it's a historical fiction story set in New York during the 1800's, so what's not to love? I imagine ton's of girls would flock to the theaters/or watch this on tv.

Rebecca - Daphne DU maurier

Master of the Game- sydney sheldon

I think both have been made into movies a loooong time ago. but it would be nice to have a modern version :)
