You know how celebs borrow Harry Winston's for the Oscars just for the night? Can the average person also borrow or rent jewelry for a high profile event? Just wondering if the store would be willing to exchange publicity for a loaner?

Haha..well when I get married I can credit them in my wedding programs. The locals would reaallly be impressed

I really, really doubt it. Even when they loan pieces to stars, they go out with bodyguards even when the designer knows that the star borrowing the item probably has enough money to actually pay for it. I can't imagine a jeweler giving jewelry to a normal person to wear to an event like that. I mean, what's in it for them?

I guess I was thinking it would be more about the event if it was really high profile. But I see your point.
