Bottega Veneta S/S 2009 : Emma Maclaren by Larry Sultan

I believe this is the full series. Some of these are just so great - the moodiness is wonderful. There is this disquietude that makes you invent a story - it's as though this couple is in the middle of some sort of altercation, they have it all and yet they're unhappy, unfulfilled and scared somehow. I keep thinking about the old adage - people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones when i look at these.

Wonderful campaign, everything goes together perfectly, colors, mood, models...

Akris, Lanvin and Bottega Veneta have used reflections in their Spring campaigns.

I like this though - the colours are harmonious, save for the shot of blue with the gentleman's suit.
I think I like it.

I love the warm colors yet the whole campaign feels like a depression to me.

i don't think it was anyone's intention to get people to smile when they look at those ads...

That's not what I think either. But the first impression was a sad, contradictional picture, telling a story of a lonely woman who's all dressed up but noone is coming to pick her up. Well, at least in my prospective. But the feeling was so strong to me that I forgot that it was actually a fashion campaign and this was the point where everything went wrong even thought the message had been delivered. I don't blame you if you don't know what I mean because , after all, it might sound cheesy.
All in all, I still find it a good ad but I wish if they had put more fashion in it...
