Bottega Veneta S/S 2024 by Alec Soth

bottega used to do beautiful campaigns with art photographers, now vogue usa etc. tries using fine art photogs all the time and it fails miserably... some of the bottega campaigns shot by nan goldin were so beautiful, this campaign all together really works, it's what i think vogue usa is going for, it feels they nudge'd alec's work towards fashion rather than just letting him do whatever.. although, it doesn't fit with his work whatsoever, and when you see what he typically does this could feel a little cheap, whereas when goldin shot for them it elevated both..

The ads work as a whole but the clothes are so beautiful that they don't need so much distraction around them.
