Bright Eyes

I like "Cassadaga" OK - it's good, but i don't think it's great. Still, i think "Make A Plan To Love Me" is beautiful.

great show last night at Massy Hall in Toronto. there were on averare 12-14 people on stage and the sound was so rich and full. Connor was wonderful, sassy and endeering. wish he'd cut his hair though, it's a bit too Jack White for me.

I like Cassadaga much better live. less cheezy background vocals and more of that raw sound that I love about Bright Eyes. he played almost the entire new album. the only older tunes were a great re-do of first day of my life (wonderful for the hubby and I to finally hear live since it was our wedding song), a tune off Digital Ash (I can't remember the name but it's the one that opens sounding like 99 red ballons), and finally he ended with LUA.

I have the Four Winds EP but haven't heard all of Cassadga. The only song I've liked so far is Four Winds. I know Bright Eyes is known for his protest songs, but I rather just stick to the ones without. And just out of my personal preference, I hope he cuts his hair soon.

His cover of "Mushaboom" is a travesty. Sorry.

I completely agree- it does not compare to the original.

BUMP!
hey!
i have a question!
You know on the I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning Album? That song Landlocked Blues?
Does anyone know who the female singer is in that song? ive been wanting to know for ages!

its Emmylou Harris - shes featured on alot of songs on this album, they worked together quite a while

have u listened to 'Pull my hair'?? the ultimate sex song :brows:

^Now I will! :shifty:
I know I have it saved. Doesn't it have a crazy, techno-y beginning?

yeah kind of!
i love the 'older' Bright Eyes stuff...its so raw...
