what i loved about this collection is that alessandro dell acqua took this customer, this very particular, very rich, very don't-draw-attention-to-myself customer and gave her the ever-so-gentle nudge in the fashionable direction. it's the colors and the proportions (and the claw necklace and the short shorts) that separate this brioni collection from what we see every other season from this absolutely staid house

I highly agree with you on that statement. The collection really stood out in Milan fashion week. the Color choice was great, I really loved those red pieces, he really just made everything look rich and beautiful.

I really liked the tailored masculine / ultrafeminine duality that was very well served and much enhanced by total absence of patterns and 90% sticking to monochromatic looks.
