I never really "followed" her career, but she certainly was a great actress and hearing about the circumstances of her death (heart attack at 32!!!) is more than shocking... Hope she has found peace now and my thoughts are with her family.

What. The. ****. 2009 just needs to turn the **** around and walk away. TMZ is saying that Brittany Murphy died early this morning in Los Angeles. Brittany was just 32.

TMZ reports that Brittany went into full cardiac arrest at her home this morning. Brittany was rushed to Cedars Sinai by ambulance. She was pronounced dead on arrival. It's not known whether Brittany's husband Simon Monjack was with her at the time.

Brittany is probably best known for playing Ty in Clueless and for being the voice of Luanne Platter on King of the Hill, but she was also in Freeway (my personal favorite), 8 Mile, Girl Interrupted, Riding in the Car with Boys, Uptown Girls, and Sin City.

This hasn't been confirmed by Brittany's rep, so I'm keeping the question mark in the title until or if it does get confirmed.

When I heard Brittany was fired of the set "The Caller" I knew something obviously was wrong in a major way.

I've enjoyed some of her movies: Sin City, Uptown Girls (a cute movie), The voice of Gloria in "Happy Feet", Clueless, Don't Say a Word, etc. And of course the movie- Girl, Interrupted.

She was a character on screen - and a talent. Brittany will be missed.

UPDATE 3:11 PM ET

-- Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We're told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- several miles away -- and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

We're told the LA County Coroner's is picking up Murphy's body from Cedars later today and will launch an investigation.
