Budget Friendly Makeup

You could try glamr.co.uk, but they don't have that many products available.

I don't know if anyone here has tried the sleek divine eyeshadows, but I've heard they're pretty good and so cheap^^ I bought to palettes form ebay^^

Ida, THANK YOU for posting your reviews!

I bought an e.l.f. brush at Target last week, and have yet to use it... I'm excited to. Also, I told my mom to buy my brother's girlfriend some e.l.f. items... so many people still do not know about them!

And speaking of cheap makeup, I found some great items at a Dollar Tree in Iowa a couple of weeks ago. ;) Some Almay lip color and Maybelline eyeshadow quads. Also, a Maybelline mouse bronzer. Not the highest in quality, but you can't beat it for $1.

Oh, and I also found some L'oreal H.I.P. eyeshadow at a 99 Cent Store in LA for $1... they had lip balms in the color Luscious, but it wasn't my color.

I've just made a massive ELF order like 30 products for €60 euros..I wish the will be good as the look!!

today I've received my ELF order , I'm very happy with it, quick shipping and the package is very well done. the brushes are amazing, I got both studio and "normal line" and they're very nice. the mineral lipsticks and booster are a "must have" very light on skin but great textures. the only 2 things that I really don't like that much are the eyeliner and shadow stick (I got the green/moss) that don't write so much and the shadow is too soft ; then the eyebrow lifter and filler , the dark shade it's very dark (I'm fair and blonde) but the light shade it's very nice. the complexion perfection powder is gorgeous to get a flawless finish love it!

Here are some swatches that I did of the Sleek Graphite palette that The_Ida sent me :heart:

^I think there's a seller on eBay that ships international, you should definitely check!

I bought the Wet n' Wild creme eyeliner a few weeks ago for like $3.99 at Walgreens after hearing that it was comparable to Mac's fluidline. So far I really love it, and its cruelty free which is somewhat rare in a cheap drugstore brand makeup. The only downside is that the applicator brush that comes with it is terrible. I plan on getting it in Eggplant next.

^Well, it isn't really a downside since you can just not use the applicator :flower:

^^ meeks, thanks for sharing.

Once in a while I've found a pretty good product by Wet n' Wild... it has to be just the right thing, though. The Eggplant sounds wonderful.

Some people recommended using a sharp eye pencil and dipping it into the pot instead of using the brush that came with it but that didn't work out too well. I ended up just buying a liner brush that cost more than the eyeliner itself.

Of course you need to have a proper brush, and they almost always cost more than what you're gonna apply with that brush

The_Ida, did you get the free makeup kit with your ELF purchase??

I see it advertised that you get a "free" kit with any purchase (I would just write it off as costing $6.95, the cost of shipping). FYI for anybody interested in a Holiday treat (or gift)..

Getting ready to place my first order... there are SO MANY OPTIONS!! I can't decide.

^I bought a couple of these eye kits as stocking stuffer type things for $5 at Target. They're part of the Beauty Encyclopedia available on elf.com but instead of the entire makeup set for the face and lips, it is just the eye palette part. I bought one for myself too :shifty:, and I think its nice for $5.

Erin Unfortunately no! But I am thinking about getting the Sleek Storm palette :brows:

I forgot to mention that I also got a Sleek blush in Flushed (I asked her to get Flamingo...she's not too bright), but it's actually a really nice colour once you apply it! It's matte and SUPER pigmented (which requires a better blush brush than I have, so excuse the mess on my face):

Mmmm...super tired AND pouty face, we love that  I love this colour. Such a nice cool fresh pink (surprisingly).

Sleek was/is for darker skinned people, and this one would suit even the darkest skin IMO. It really is a super blush for the price...I think it's under £5! I SO want Flamingo (really bright coral, brilliant for summer).

You're seriously gorgeous, I've said it before but you look so much like Siri, you're like tfs Siri :) Great Make up!
