Calvin Klein F/W 2017.18 by Willy Vanderperre

I like the close ups too, very beautiful images.

The close-up shots are exactly what this campaign needed. That one with the white heels is so haunting, cinematic and yet so simple in concept-exactly what I love from Willy.

The close ups are amazing!! Happy to see that Lulu got one. Hopefully Kiki will have one too.

Love the white shoes shot too.

I love this. The compositions are wonderful and the use of the billboard was a very clever idea. Definitely one of the best campaigns of the season for me.

Raf has evolved to be one of the most insufferable designer out there and I’ve never admired this Willy’s photography. That doesn’t mean they’re not talented. This collection and its campaign is really strong— just gorgeous, airy, dreamy and still grounded in an modernist severity that’s true to Raf when he’s at his best— which this collection is. (And maybe because this collection is so Helmut in spirit, down to the cowboy boots, I can’t help but adore it that much more.)

Really digging the cast of fresh faces. Who cares that they’re unknowns: Beauty is where you’ll find it, and everyone looks their part in this timeless Americana tale here that mixes a surreal sensibility with a chic, city attitude so well.

BTW Benn, frenchmen are gym-shy…? I would disagree wholeheartedly… There are plenty of frenchmen I know who are gym-swoonworthy. I don’t mean Bluto-looking gym Marys, just perfectly proportioned goodness (and the most gorgeous hair). These clothes have the capacity of showing off the best of a men without the vulgarity of skintight tackiness. This is very… Helmut Lang in attitude.

My generalisation isn't based on the ones who put out (who you most likely encountered) or Parisians. Just the average bloke. I personally meet quite a few in my line of work and I can confidently say they don't work out at all. And when they do, it's certainly not with the same diligence encouraged in British and American culture.

Lol, Zucchelli's CK was actually somewhat loose fitted most of the time, but with it being rooted in athleticism, it highlighted all the important bits. You needed pronounced arms and shoulders, a solid bum to pull it off. Not in a tacky Muscle-Mary way, but still. And I liked liked that too. The clothing was straight-forward and just looked good, that's all some men want at times. I do like Raf's CK as well, for the record.

It has nothing to do with being pretentious. It's about differentiate the brand instead of going with the flow. Do you have any idea how many people use the word "collection"?

Of course the title is pretentious. Btw, you've just inadvertently outlined why it is, lol. This is still a fashion collection, he merely called it something vague to set it apart from the rest. Just like Miuccia and her 360°-whatever throwing 1001 images at you with only 5.

That little explanation or statement on the campaign gives me heardache. I can't...It's beyond pretentious.

The campaign is good but i can't.
I'm a bit confused on the whole Calvin thing. Having Raf was supposed to bring a sense of cohesion around all the different lines but everything seems the same for me.
Ok, Rizzo is styling all the campaigns from the Jeans line to the Underwear and Vanderperre is shooting all of it but for me it's more of a PR thing for the moment.

Same here!! The only cohesion is Willy Vanderperre's malaise-inducing photography! It was all a PR stunt.

both Julia's and Lulu's close ups are the stand out of the campaign tbh

The closeups with Julia, Lulu and Luc are the best shots ! And the one with Elibeidy in the front too ! Great campaign.

Some of the BTS shots are better than the actual campaign! I love the one of Lulu smiling holding the water bottle, feels so much more natural and warm

I'm actually liking this more than I thought I would. Each new shot, it just gets better.

Love this one especially.

Elibeidy and Lulu are slaying this, amazing amazing :heart: the dessert concept has been beaten to death, but here it actually feels quite fresh.

I find it boring...

We've seen this kind of campaigns for years. Nothing fresh in it. It features some of the models I like these days but it's not working for me.
This collection is about America ? Then use real americans, working people with strong faces and attitudes. That would have been a statement. Make it iconic.

Or I dunno, shoot those models really wearing the clothes and give them time to feel them. This is way to stiff...

For sure no one will break the bus-stops shelters to steal those campaigns haha.
