Cameron Diaz

I wrote down a direct quote of hers from Letterman. He was bugging her about dating Alex Rodriguez. She said that they have dinner like normal people, and he was like "Don't they have to shut down the restaurant? Aren't people always bothering you?"

Her response

"I'm used to it. It's day to day life and it's not a burden for me. I like people. I like for people to say hello. I'm so blessed to do what I do, I consider it a privilege to make movies, & when people want to say hello to me I'm happy to say hello to them."

I got goosebumps. I'm such a big fan!

I saw it yesterday and it was so much fun!!! They say it's Cameron's best comedic performance since Something About Mary and I agree, she shined in it :D

us weekly gave it a good review and raved about cameron

It got only 46% rating from top critics at Rotten Tomatoes, and Roger Ebert gave it a poor review.

I wouldn't trust US Weekly or Entertainment Weekly as I believe they are part of media conglomerate that produces some of these mainstream films. The NYT's is a good source though.

I personally think Cameron's best role was in Malkovich as it didn't trade on her looks, in fact it underplayed them and allowed her acting to shine through. But that is just imo...

From Ebert's review:

Cameron Diaz has proved that she is gifted with comedy. But here, her Elizabeth is a mean, antagonistic money grubber on autopilot. Where did she come from? Why did she get into teaching in the first place? Has she no heart? There are times in "Bad Santa" when we feel sorry for the poor SOB, but nothing in "Bad Teacher" inspires more than distaste for its lead character.

Other problems: There is no chemistry, or indeed even much mutual awareness between Diaz and Timberlake. You know those annual Bad Sex Awards for the worst sex scene in a movie? Their dry-humping scene deserves an award for the decade. The scene itself is pathetic. The shot it ends on — the wet spot on Timberlake's blue jeans — had the preview audience recoiling.

I think that's a harsh review and disagree with it!

*Spoiler* Especially since Justin and her are not meant to have chemistry it worked out perfectly! But there are always good and bad reviews, I read a lot of great reviews for the movie which is good because a comedy is always harshly critiqued.

^Wish we had a better look at the dress, it seems really cute!

Bad Teacher did really well in the North American box office, 31million, it overperformed so that is really great news for Cameron!!

^ Weird. What did she do on X-Factor? The dress looks interesting. Hopefully we will get clearer pics.

Saw Bad Teacher on the weekend. It was great. Lots of laughs and Cam's clothes were AMAZING especially all her Loubs.

IMO, Cameron was good in this movie, however, the movie wasn't that good. Does this make sense?? :woot:

They interviewed her & I think she sat down at the judging panel for a little bit to give some opinions.
