For Carla, time is short. It's the only thing that doesn't adapt to her 1,82 m figure. She hasn't processed the European winter in which she walked for the main brands of Milan, London and Paris and her trip in September is just coming up. All of that while studying English, doing sports and going to school on her 5th year at the José Hernández school in Marqués de Sobremonte, the Cordobese neighborhood where she lives with her family. She's the middle daughter at the Gebhart's house and with 16 years old, the world is on her feet.
"Everything happened after doing a modelling course at Mannequins in which, apart from doing my makeup and walking, I met a lot of friends. Really, everything was so fast", she says.
In mid-January, she went to Paris with her mother and did what took years to other models to succeed. In 45 days, she walked for Prada, Jil Sander, Gucci in Milan; in Paris, for Balenciaga, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Céline, Loewe... the list goes on, even more in London, where she was hired by Burberry, Sass & Bide, Hakaan or Jonathan Saunders for the closing. In total, they were 23 shows.
And she had more. Photographers Steven Meisel and Mario Testino should have to wait for her productions for Vogue. She came back to Córdoba. School was starting.
"I want to go to school just like everybody else", says, as she comments about last year, that even though she had to go and come to Buenos Aires for photo shoots or catwalking, she ended up her year without any problems "I didn't fail anything".
Chicha Osorio, who discovered her at the Mannequins agency and contacted the Buenos Aires agency who did the trip, highlights in her answer "I don't have any doubt that she's going to be a top. Apart from her thin genetics, from her height, she has a particular face. But the main thing is that she's responsible. And to be a top, you have to be a professional. It's not every common all these conditions together", admits.
Fashion Flight
Carla fell in love with Europe. And so did Europe.
"I had more time in Paris. It's really the capital of fashion. On the streets you can see the elegance. At London, on the other hand, I just could see it from the car window. I was there a week, but between castings and shows, little could I know. Only there, I just walked for 12 shows", says, without clarifying that all of them were for elite designers.
In September, new trips and decisions will rise. Two world-renowned brands want her for their campaigns. And now, apart from Europe, New York is added to her agenda.
"I have to think about it and decide which Fashion Week I'll go to. A trip like that needs two months and I don't have a lot of absences", says.
If you ask her about her favorite top, she'll pick Kate Moss. Talking about music, Lady GaGa comes out.
On contracts, she doesn't talk. In reality, she doesn't mind. "I'm still a girl and I'm not fixed in the money", adds.
Au naturel
Carla loves sports and this Saturday she'll play for her school in a handball championship. In addition, she swims once per week and goes out to run with her brother Kevin (23). She listens to music, she's in Facebook and it's very friendly with her friends.
"My style is very natural, comfortable. I still do what I used to do, but I don't have enough time", ends.
