Carol Christian Poell - Designer

Hey Albert, not to make you feed bad, but raijin sold a pair of the black cotton twist pants (in a 46) on eBay about a month ago.

Apparently they retailed for $900. :flower:

i saw some gloves from the next season. they look like leather gauntlets- soft leather where your hands are and they flare out as they go up to your elbows (extremely stiff- probably horse leather)

thanks runner!

will they be reproduced in the coming season?
you're welcome calvinho
I think the twisted pants from A/W 06 are basically only in denim.
but there can exist another fabric ones, if a store asked them to make those for the store exclusively.

Does anyone else find this move incredibly annoying, pretentious, overly precious, etc.? It's like "Oh I can't sell my shoes anymore because someone might copy them, and I don't want mainstream stores to be interested in my work." I love the guy's stuff, but that totally turns me off. Just make your damn clothes and shoes.
it seems that he wanted to do footwear for fall too. but the manufacturer declined it finally this time round.
you know much of his work is far from manufacturable.
apparently he was trying to do too much.
he is sometimes a mad scientist.
so if he compromises and makes it more manufacturer-friendly or he can find another manufacturer that is to accept it, it will be available again.
also there is a leather specialist of advanced age involved in CCP who is very important but has not been very well recently, which is making it difficult for some things to materialize at the moment.

Haha, no worries Avantster I saw those. I think I'll need a 48/50 in CCP anyways.

Do any of you know if the denim version will be the same or more expensive?

May be time to call up Atelier hahaha

From the feedback I've heard CCP runs pretty large, so if I'm usually a US 8.5, and would consequently wear a UK 8 in various brands, I'm assuming a UK 8 would be too large for me (in the hockeye/jude law CCP boots), right?

For reference purpose:
I wear a size 9 in adidas, 8 in chucks, 8.5 in most dress shoes (ie Allen edmonds), 40 (snug)/41 (relaxed) in AnnD (her sizing is really off...) etc.

Yup, those hockeye boots on Ebay would indeed be too big for you. I'm usually a 9US/42EUR, and I wear a 7 in CCP.
