I'm a bit surprised at the store's conservative buy frankly
even though it's a great classics.
there was a semiyearly mens collection magazine from harpers bazaar.
if you could find the back numbers of it, some of them carry CCP's past collections.
for example the S/S 96 issue had some photos from the lookbook, if I remember rightly.
also collection issues from other magazines should have the S/S 98 since CCP showed the collection on the runway.
I wouldn't say they have been good businessmen, for better or worse.
some of you might remember stretch leather became prevalent especially around the end of the century.
it was what CCP had originally invented in the mid 90's.
but they were so indifferent that they failed to get a patent for it.
if they had been more bisiness-minded, they could have managed C.C.P Srl more easily without having designed for premiata or mandarina duck occasionally almost in secret, or without having faced a crisis of bankrupcy and a lack of funds such as to make them unable to make samples or do collections.

Interesting info Runner. I might have to look into getting older issues to check those pictures out.
I am also surprised about thier conservative buy, unless they plan on adding more later. I would've atleast thought they would buy a few more tops and maybe some of the 'joint' pieces. Guess we'll have to wait and see what Lift, Atelier, Lazzari, etc. picks up.

FYI. Atelier will be getting their shipment of leather jackets later on this week (fencing and the classic one).

As part of this first shipment, there is a pant, a shirt and some other small things...not sure when they will receive their 3rd batch (usually in September)
Awesome, thanks for the update! I'm definitely looking forward to what they picked up although it's a shame they didn't buy any of the jointed pieces.

I agree, beautiful jeans, does anybody knows how much for those babies?
I'm only guessing, but I'm pretty sure they'll be $1100 or so. (where most of his jeans have been priced)

Haha, me too! I tried on a pair from S/S 07 and they were literally the best fitting jeans I have ever worn. But I didn't give in....but I don't know if I can do that twice...
To honestly tell the truth.. I am a little bit disappointed with the jeans.. I guess I am looking more towards the jointed jeans. I am a little bit bored over the skinny jeans scene unless it is a really good pair. I am not sure it is worth to pay 1100USD for the pair of jeans that has not special treatment but only overlock. On top of it..I know everyone is very tempted.. well.. may be one should look at the forum in 'shop til you are dead' and there is an article that the fashionspot forum member posted about the items are priced purposely 'high' to get people's psychology of unreach-able but must have kicking in. At the end of the day it is about maximize profit. On top of it it is also easier to make profit on expensive 3 piece than cheaper 10 pieces. Make sense. Nevertheless this is not an attack but merely pointing out my recently dismay with inflating prices that would include CCP
The jeans are $1350. They're insanely stiff; the first picture on the site (of the jeans standing on their own) was not doctored. It's almost impossible to move in them. But, the overlock stitching is incredible (predictably).
The belt shown above is $650; it's beautiful, but, IMO, doesn't work well with the jeans.
