thank you chris...that's what i was thinking..pigskin is just cheap...not radical...i bet you sold pigskin suede at merry go round...

I assume that's your subtle way of saying,"Scott knows sh*t",right?

my dear scott....it was actually chris who pointed it out...
i will thank you not to interpret my posts...like you did in another thread...
why do YOU keep coming after ME?...
and why do you think everything is about you?...
i am actually quite insulted...please consider some of the personal things you have directed towards me in the past 24 hours...

nothing i have said has been directed towards you personally...simply discussing the collections...you may disagree with my opinions...but it doesn't give you the right to insult me and accuse me of doing things that i'm not actually doing...

and then making snide little remarks like that one...
please keep your personal issues off the board...
thanks...

Well,I'm sorry if jump the gun but your contradicting post led me to believe otherwise.

I haven't been following you purposely. Just looking the threads that interest me most...and you just happended to have posted there. As far as the things I've said to you,I have my right to do so. You say awful things about something you have never seen before to contradict what I say and you're always throwing your years in the biz in my face in a way saying I am more superior and I know more. I find your attitude to sometimes be a bit off-putting. Just because I haven't been in this biz as long as you,I do know things about alot of the topics/designers we discuss.

dear scott...
i know for a fact that you have already learned from me because of my 'years in the biz'...(which i would never ...EVER...say ...'biz')...and that 'superior' thing is your own personal issue...it's not coming from me...
if you were a bit less defensive...you might learn even more...
you might see it as more of an opportunity and less of a threat...

i have nothing but respect for other people's opinions and enjoy learning from all our members...i expect to be extended the same courtesy...

you'll see i didn't say anything "awful"...if you take more time to read what i wrote...and you said things about something YOU have never seen before either...aren't we all in the same boat with the new collections??...if you say i have no right to an opinion becuase i haven't seen this new collection in person...then no one does and we might as well shut the fashion spot down...cause we won't have anything to discuss...

you are looking for holes in my arguments and trying to challenge my opinions...clearly!...i really don't know what you're trying to prove...and don't really want to know...
i'm asking you to back off...we don't have to agree...but don't insult me...and don't question my right to my opinion...it is MY OPINION...period...get over it...it has NOTHING to do with YOU...

and PLEASE read my posts more carefully if you are going to respond to them...
thank you...

All I'm saying is,that you and I are supposed to be equals, you know. You can't make people feel less adequate about their knowledge just because of one's experience level. I've been following and observing things in-depth since I was child,so I don't believe that experience necessarily makes one more wiser than the other. But you do that alot of the time.

Please accept my apologies for being so fiery towards you.

i will accept your apology and give you this analogy regarding experience...

just like you don't have to see a collection to appreciate it but it's still not the same as seeing it in person...
it is the same with experience...

seeing it in person firsthand is not the same as reading about it or hearing about it...it just gives you more perspective because you can appreciate it in a different way...you can see all the details close up and you understand it differently...and you might actually decide that you hate it...

i'm still on the fence about this whole business....i still love fashion...but the business is a beast...it eats people alive...i've seen it...over and over...and it's one thing when you read that some designer has gone out of business...but it's another thing when it's your very close friend who has lost their company and probably their life's dream...

experience is not always fun scott...but i am proud of the work that i've done and i'm not going to hide my experience because i've worked hard to get it...
and in your words...i am one of the 'indies'...i've done things on my own terms and only worked with people i respected and believed in...(well-mostly, we all make errors in judgement )

so i will not penalize you for your lack of experience and i expect you will not resent the fact that i have some...it's not a competition...we're all just sharing what we've got...:flower:

i still don't get the cut of those jeans, it looks like he dropped the kids off in his pants quite frankly.[/QUOTE

The jeans are ' SAROUEL PANTS ', ( or ZAROUEL PANTS ) done by both Gianni Versace , but , above all , by Marithe et Francois Girbaud , for CLOSED , in the middle 80's .

I still have a pair in washed - out light blue denim !!! :o

yes...well...i guess we're 'comin' around again...' :stuart: :winkiss:

I saw the stuff in person today, very nice.

The long tailored jackets look like a must-have.

As well as the stripe stitched trousers and parrot buckle belts.

The leather bombers are also incredible (but not my style) and in excess of $4000.

Mmmmm...yep, I'm still enjoying this collection. I think I appreciate even more now then when we saw it a month or two ago.

Really nice collection, I like the details, like the interior of the jacket Raijin posted. I had seen CCP before when someone showed it to me, but it was the video in which the models floated down the river, so I couldn't really see the pieces close up. But now I know I definately like CCP.
