Cartier Handbag As Gift - Need Assistance

Hi all,

I'm looking to pick up this Cartier bag for my girlfriend but have a few questions for all you bag experts. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

1. Is this gold colour (which is very light - kinda silvery) a versatile colour? Meaning, can she match it easily and wear it day AND night?
2. Does this gold type of dye (or however it's coloured) flake off or fade / discolour easily?
3. Is this particular design of bag well made and durable? I've had 2 Cartier wallets - one fell apart after around 10 months of daily use and the other is still holding up perfectly after a year of daily use so I'm guessing it depends on the leather and design hence the wording of my question.

IMHO, if your girlfriend is into handbags, I'd stick with designers/brands known for their bags rather than Cartier (ie: Chanel)...
