Cassette Playa

For me, the first such designer that I ever saved up for this stuff was WLT... :)

yo ne1 got info on a/w shizz???? i been emalin dsm n dey aint respondin u kno i gettin pist... i emaled carri bout sum stuff n i thnkin i gon emale bout aw.

I looked at her site. egads. Why would you pay 100 bucks for something that you could find for 95 cents at Value Village/Goodwill/Salvation Army.

I'm not surprised that they didn't respond to you......

Anyway- Some of it is too expensive. Some of the t-shirts which cost like $100 are made by American Apparel. They are pretty awesome looking, which is why i have one, but the quality isn't any better than a $15 t-shirt....

Other than that, i love everything about CP, and you definitely can't find it at Value Village :P

OK...SO MAY-B I KANT SPEL...BUT SRSLY MONEY IS MONEY INNIT???

um, who invited that person to TFS? just wondering.

on a more important note, i absolutely adore CP, but i don't think most people could pull most of her stuff off. i think i'd die with excitiment if i saw someone walking down the street wearing one of her shirts.

I thought about bying one of the ss07 shirts...green one with 3 "eyes", it was on sale, 45 euros. But, I realised I didn't even like it that much and it felt weird, the print, when touched, I don't know why.

egads,I need sunglasses to look at this!

erm...not really my thing. It's funny and individual but it seems a bit derivitive to me....Jeremy Scott is still at it...and BW--the one who started it all--is slowly moving away from this look. Then you got Kim Jones and Henrik Vibskov on top of those designers. It's getting a little bit redundant now.

please dont compare casette playa to jeremy scott....
i love cassette playa, its comepletely different and its such a creative use of color, shape, etc.

Yes, I love CP too........AND I  Jeremy Scott!!
i <3 bof but i like cp better cuz iuno but jscott beveryl hillz kinna like jeremy skott pariz felt tired of doin dat n wuz like "yo imma get coked up n make trash" but still i own sum jskott stfuf n i like it. btw kassettpliya iz gunna b up on da myspace n wabsite in a kupple weeks or sumthin @ end of diz month holla@u boi. pz

btw lbby u in ny holla @ me i show u a good tieme AIGHT???

originally i had a lewd comment.

anyway so how does this relate? are you sure it's not olestra? lay off foods that are high in oil.

i also think her work very ugly and not wearable at all and fxxking overpriced, a short pants cost over 500 dollars, i think she is going to disappear soon

well,it's the mayhem of his aesthetics that i meant and i also forgot heatherette in my rant.

and as far as this look is concerned, these newer labels coming up,i see alot more talent in what you write in c.neeon than casette playa. much of what i see from these guys is merely rehashed early 90s hip hop looks and not really taken out of that context--not as refreshing as you say. c.neeon on the other hand, with their use of print and vibrance, has alot more talent in cutting, shapes and volume.

i lovfe c.neeon as well, in fact i love them more, but i still think casette playa is one of the freshest takes on use of color and shape in print. im not comparing the two.
