I had really hoped to see her at the shows again. Such a shame that she seems to have lost whatever momentum she had gained.

From what I understand, Cassi has always been very family oriented, very dedicated to her boyfriend and son. I think her success last season was just an opportunity that popped up for her, but one that she had no intentions of pursuing. I think if she wanted to she could come and walk a pretty great season as a newcomer, but I don't think her heart is in it.

(Then again I don't know Cassi personally...at all)
 
^Yes, it's a shame for us but we can only respect her decision. It's a very tough business and I don't think I could cope with it. I can understand her preferring to be around her family and friends.

I have no idea how much doing fashion week would cost, how much you need to do to break even, or whether you can break even by simply walking the shows or you need to book campaigns, look books or other money jobs to make it worth it…But I remember reading somewhere that Alice chose to focus on her career in Australia instead of continuing to pursue international runways partly for financial reasons—that she simply was not making money overseas, with all the expenses. So I guess it is a risk, and with her boyfriend and kid, perhaps it’s a risk that Cassi does not want to take. CK paid for her trip to NY in the past season, so she was not taking any risks financially. But if she has to pay for the trips herself, I can understand why she might have reservations, especially considering the fact that she has a family to take care of and the fact that she’s making money in Australia constantly. I can only hope that she somehow gets a big contract in Australia so that she’s financially secured, so that she might want to give her international career another go. Nothing really came out of her CK exclusive outside Australia the last time she walked, otherwise, I guess things might be different.
