It's so stupid too. She is clearly naturally that way. In the past she has tried to gain weight (I remember seeing it on her facebook) AND she has had a child. The Australian media are clearly looking for a punching bag and Cassi happens to be it just because she is vaguely recognisable.

Basically Marie Claire editor said she looked unhealthy after watching Alex Perry's show. And then Alex Perry totally threw her under the bus by saying that he made a mistake in booking her and that he "wasn't paying attention" (Really, Alex? Really? I lost so much respect for you for throwing your girl under the bus like that.)

Not sure how or whether her international career will be affected, but I think it's safe to say there goes her hope of scoring a big contract in Australia. And they chose the most unflattering photos of her to put in the reports.

She'll be fine, she's hardly the first model to be attacked like this. It's not even her first time being attacked by the local press (for other reasons). Similar controversy didn't hurt Julia Nobis, she's still at the top of everyone's list in Australia.

Despite Alex Perry's back-pedalling, there are probably a good number of local clients that are annoyed that an issue is being made about this at all.

Alex Perry got heaps of exposure with that incident. He was on TV, he tweeted ad nauseum for days about "making that mistake" casting Cassie. He TOTALLY threw her under the bus, for his own commercial and personal gain. He received LOADS of tweets applauding him for "admitting his mistake". *groan*
