Wow, she's wearing Esteban Cortazar. I hope that gives him a boost for future red carpet outings.

I love it when she doesn't make such obvious choices.

Love how she can wear Givenchy at a photocall and then turn up in Esteban Cortazar for the premiere. She can wear anything she wants and that's amazing when it feels like we always see the same designers on the big redcarpets.

She looks amazing at the premiere. I agree that her latest looks were not very impressive but here she looks like a true movie star . I don't think many actresses could pull off this look with so much grace. In the same way that she makes the Givenchy jumpsuit so cool and effortlessly chic with the blazer.

Carol is only coming out in January in France... It feels like an eternity.

Love the premiere gown. What makes Cate so special is that she always the one who 'wears' the clothes and doesn't let them dictate her. She exudes confidences and effortlessness which, some stars can wear and look the most beautiful on the red carpet, but they will still look try-hard.

What I've noticed with Cate is that she hardly ever take any risks with her hair and make-up. Ultimately it looks like she wore all these looks on the same day. It would be nice to see her try something interesting with her hair for a change (and I dont mean side-parting it). The outfits are all great-looking, the last one not so much.

Agreed. I like that she went with a lesser known designer, and I even like that she took a risk, but the material and cut just scream Las Vegas to me.

I do think Cate's trying to evolve her style to reflect that she's older, and still remain edgy, but she hasn't found that balance.
