Chanel Haute Couture F/W 1997.98 Paris

So beautiful! Was this Galliano, McQueen and Gaultier arrival that made him find some theme for collection

3 more vintage collections they will post. Dior, Gaultier and Givenchy maybe. Chanel, Lacroix and Versace are posted already. All her favorites

I love this so much. One of my favorite Karl 90s collection and one of his best.

This collection is the perfect mixture of punk, conservative and whimsical of the fairytale. Karl found the perfect way to injected fairytale elements without it became too sugary.

Such a fabulous collection from Karl. When people say they loves 90’s Chanel, this is the 90’s Chanel I wish they talked about instead of the usual and expected one!

This is the 2nd or 3rd season with Amanda. And I think that she added a fresh take in that kind of extravaganza that Gilles liked to push with Karl.
This was when the new guard of Couture added a new energy and only Valentino, Lagerfeld and Ungaro were really the ones who took the challenge.

The silhouettes and even the styling are still kind of fresh and daring for Couture. The shoulders are very late 90’s but the silhouettes of a knee length with boots is something he did for fall 2010 Couture too. And there’s something very wild in a very Lagerfeld way in that collection too!

The cocktail dresses are fabulous and that dress on Trish Goff! The grey dress! Knee length and dramatic back! That weird mix of practicality and drama is so fabulous! Trish looks gorgeous, hair and all!

And the lace dress (look before the closing look), so fabulous and very 80’s Chanel Couture in it sexiness…

Chanel Haute Couture by Karl has always been the must for me. If I was a rich Couture client, I would have loved my life only in Chanel Haute Couture…ONLY!
