Chanel Haute Couture S/S 2022 Paris

While I don't like most of what Virginie does, and deep down I feel that sometimes she gets dragged a little too hard, this is so bad. As haute couture, this is the chance to show the core, limitless, undiluted essence of a modern Chanel, and this is for real what they propose??? What a boring time to be alive for a billionaire. I couldn't imagine wanting to shell out that much money for this stuff even with unlimited funds
RIGHT! YOU WOULD THINK THE DESIGNERS WOULD WANT TO HAVE FUN SINCE THERE SO MUCH SADDNESS IN THE AIR AND HERE NOTHING

can anyone tell me what the ugly set and horse thing was about?

Equestrian theme, Viard said the ruffles appeared on the back of a single-vent jacket caused by movements when a woman riding a horse is very beautiful. She want to emphasise this single-vent design element so Charlotte was there....

My fondness for Virginie Viard has grown quite strong over recent years and I genuinely didn't think this particular collection was a bad as some are suggesting within this thread - despite some very valid and thought-provoking points being made.

I find the ivory halter neck dress with the pockets toward the end of the show utterly gorgeous, the construction of the jackets looks flawless and as per usual with a Chanel collection - I love every single tweed look. The devil is always in the details with Chanel.

She can't even select right set design for her collection. Her designs were lost in it, it is too big. Where is your experience, honey?

And was it really impossible to avoid darts in black constructivist patchwork dress? Come on, this is Haute Couture

I really like Virginie Viard’ work ( shoot me). But the horse stunt has to be the most idiotic thing i’ve seen in a catwalk lately.
