Chanel J12 Watch

ii'd have to say the watch as i'm partial to the watch, meself! the lady at chanel 1800 number told me the watch is very popular nowadays...i'm just not quite a ring person.

and maybe the black ring will go well with the white watch! very mod-ish, i have to say. you should maybe try them on together and see how they look! let us know what you decide!

Same here! I have the smallest wrists ever..but Im sure im very small boned thats all I cant wear watches either & I can forget about any nice bangles or bracelets that look nice.

Ok so right now I was planning on getting the ring. (around $3800) the choice is black or white. I kind of agree with your opinions that the black/diamond combo is more striking. But in the future I plan on getting the white diamond watch- then the ring and watch won't match!
I can't spend over 5,000 on the diamond watch right now- so if you had the choice would you go for ring or white watch w/diamond markers at the same price?

I would prefer the watch with diamond markers over the ring also (well, that's why I bought the watch), but if I had to buy the ring I would buy black with diamonds! As to whether a white watch and a black ring will match, I guess it depends on how you dress, or I might not wear them together. Or, if I gotta stick with one color, I would pick black ring with diamonds + black diamond markers watch. Uh, that would look very cool. Sorry I don't know if I have helped you here....

If I have the $$$, I would like to buy that black one with diamonds on the bezel too (the diamond markers look too similar to the one without diamond, so since I already own the white one without diamond for a daytime casual look, black with diamonds on bezel would be perfect for night life, clubbing etc.) I am DREAMING now

If going with black I definaltey preffer the one withthe diamonds, the other one looks a little masculine.

i guess it depends on the diamond bezel vs. diamond markers. the 1800 chanel folks can tell us for sure.

so they have a silver chanel watch too? i'm not as big a fan cos it looks too similar to other brands. i love the black and white looks of the watch. i hear you on the diamond watch, hikaru! it's fabulous

someone asked about a similar watch under 1000, i saw a Guess ad that showed a similar style white watch with chronograph in this month's elle with aniston on the cover. i don't have a scanner, alas! the watch looks V. similar to the chanel one

no, there's only black and white J12, no silver, I guess it's the lighting of one of the pics that makes it looks like it's silver.

Thanks! I had to get a few links taken out, but it fits great! Yes, this is the one without the diamonds (ones with are too expensive for me), as I got it for my college graduation.

i was flipping through the new kate moss W when i saw a saks ad. there was a gorgeous full color full page chronographic automatic black J12 with diamond markers AND a ruby bezel! very pretty! unfortunately, i again do not have a scanner. SIGH. if you can get access to the magazine, check out that lovely!

ha, there was a full size white one with diamond markers and a sapphire bezel in one of my older elle mags. i really wish i had a scanner now! now i can't get the sapphire one out of my head...though i know it's gotta be super expensive! i love blue!!!

Chanel J12

This is my first post outside the handbag section

What do you people think of the Chanel J12? I am looking to get a new watch and don't really want to get another Rolex, if I can't find anything else I will though.

I went to Chanel Fine Jewelry tonight and saw the J12 watches:

Does anyone have this watch? Is it durable and does it still look good after everyday use? I really liked it and the SAs assured me of it's quality, but I want an unbiased opinion lol or at least less biased than that! Help! Thanks in advance

Noriko...I initially wanted the j12 in white after I fell IN LOVE with the original white watch by Harry Winston (who could afford?). However, I wasn't taken with it IRL because of the ceramic and ended up with a white cartier instead. However, I have since seen the Dior Cristale and that's nice too. Looking back, the J12 is actually nice and I'm sure I would have got used to the ceramic band. Good luck with your decision!!

i've tried it on in person and it's beautiful, pics don't do the ceramic justice
