I like the Chanel Cambon reporter bag very much too.
I wish I could be more faithful, I keep telling myself to save up for it, but end up buying other bags along the way.
Anyway I think it is a good choice, Chanel is definitely a classic, go for it!

I think this line is targeted towards a younger age group compared with most of the Classic looking Chanel bags. I don't think it would look too old for you, it would look just right. Not too fond of the pink ones but you may want to consider it if your concerned the syle is too old looking.

Chanel Ligne Cambon Tote: Which one do I get?

I'm new here - this is my first post. Can someone help me with the Chanel Ligne Cambon totes? can they be shoulder-carried? I know for sure the large one can be shoulder-carried, how about the Small and Medium? I'm a size 8 girl by the way.

By the way, I'm a US size 8. I just realized that size 8 may mean something else in other countries

I would go with the multipocket, but that's just me

I think they all can be carried over the shoulder but the small would be a tight fit (i.e., tough over a coat). if you don't have a boutique near you just call them and ask them. I think a shoulder drop length of less than 8" (7" if you're skinny) is going to be snug.

I only like the large tote, just because I think the others all look a little misproportionate. As for the shoulder thing, I have seen women jamming small and mediums on their shoulders, but I think the large is the only one that can be easily carried this way (over a coat as well). You may want to check out the multipocket too, although it is more expensive, it is nicer (in my opinion), has a little more going on, and is the one that can be carried on the shoulder the best out of all of them.

I don't like the Ligne Cambon very much, especially the new Python line yuk. I do like the Multipocket quite a bit, its the only one I like even remotely. Id get it for my Mom if they had white with a navy Double-C or reversed.

Yes, I hate it, snakeskin has no place near the Double-C. To me, it is very un-Chanel.

pythons are snakes but not all snakes are pythons (I feel like I'm taking the SATs). the point is python products are illegal in CA but I've seen the "un-Chanel" multipocket here so it must not be python.

...no wonder eluxury.com said that they couldn't ship the python dior gambler bag to california when it was still up on their website! ...makes sense now
