Chanel Pre-Fall 2020 Paris

I spent a good half an hour last night watching recent Chanel shows on YouTube and I forgot just how much I enjoyed this collection from Virginie Viard.

It was so beautifully presented, finished off beautifully in terms of styling and accessories. The whole collection felt polished, sophisticated and had a youthful energy which reminded me of Chanel during the 00s. I am especially fond of that half-and-half black and white jacket on Amanda Sanchez, and the opening look on Vittoria Ceretti. Not to mention the Rue Cambon-inspired set being quintessential Chanel.

I know it's a bit random, but considering what she's done since then, I'm convinced that this is among her best collections for the maison, along with the FW19 couture.

funny enough it feels the one most close to Karl´s best off as well ..cant wait what the new chanel will look like

Not surprised. A lot of black, easy shapes and « easy clothes » even if the spirit of Metiers d’Arts kinda disappeared. This is not a bridge between Couture and RTW.

The Marion Cotillard VP cover was great though.
