It honestly feels like Chanel after Coco passed away and before Karl joined. Chanel is in a decline. Hopefully something or someone will spark Chanel again.

oh my gosh im so glad im not the only one who thinks this. was going through a few magazines and some of the 'clothes' they were advertising were horrendous. no one would look twice at them if they were in a charity shop and not made by chanel, why does no one talk about how bad its gotten. Chanel resort is barely hanging on by a thread.

chanel was never about design its a fashion house totally based on a style of the woman that founded it

it has designed elements but the function and style overrides it completely

i guess i can see that, but i feel as though functionality for pieces such as these are non existent, are working women in corporate spaces really wearing these pieces out for their worth? maybe but ultimately we hold Chanel to this standard of being a couture house and in my opinion couture is story telling and the story Chanel tells me is that they're stuck in the past. Also feel like just because its an old well established fashion house which deserves its grace, does that mean we should love every collection it produces. But i agree with the idea of it being functional.
