'Cheap Products' Raves

-aspirin/honey masks for my face. I swear to God, NOTHING has given me better skin than this. Nothing. This is the first time in my life that I havn't even gotten a single blemish during my period. Normally, I'm a mess during that time of the month, but my skin is soft, even, and radiant even when I'm crampy, irritated, and bloated.

wait so you mix asprin with a honey? or is it already mixed for sale...=\
it sounds nice, i like honey for my face because its very mousturizing (a bit sticky but i can overlook that for the soft skin it gives me!)

good cheap things:

clinique facial soap bar - i know it sounds expensive , i think about 11.50 or so but seriously, it lasts forever. before i got the whole bar (a very generous size) i had a little sample, supposivley last enough for 7 days (it was one of those free test to buy our product things) and it lasted at least a month.
so imagine something 10x as big as the sample... seriously... it lasts forever. im still on my first bar and i can barely see a difference in size since i started it around a month ago. and besides, its as gentil as cetaphile, with no scent. (and the case it comes with is adorable^_^)

witch hazel - ive got a funny feeling i spelled witch wrong.. but this stuff is pretty good. its about 79p a bottle and well worth the buy. now, im not for toners because i think they're a waste of money and too drying, but if you use one, switch to witch hazel. its cheap, and although it doesnt give that somewhat refreshing tingles when swabbing it on, its much less drying, 10x cheaper, and the big bottle lasts for a lot longer. plus its basically what theyre giving you when you get a 10 dollar toner.
only precaution is it smells a tad strange, but if you can overlook the smell its pretty good.

boots expert concentrated hand and nail creme
its like £3 and it really does work.. i usually hate all those ultra mousturizing cremes because they're like wearing mayyonaise on your hands and everything you touch gets all greasy, but this seems to magically absorb into your hands. its well worth it and great to keep in your bag, especially if you wash your hands a lot (like me :D)

boots essential pure white shower creme
really good in-shower moisture. only like 69p.

life brand baby lotion w/shea
i bought this once time when i went to canada and its really worth it, its got a delicate smell and its good for taking to the beach, so when youre done you can mousturize, as the sand, sun, and water can be realy drying. its cheap but i forgot how much it is. i think its only in canada (and i have no more:()

where do you get Life brand in Canada? I remember seeing it, but I can't remember where....

Sugar
Wonderful scrub. Makes sort of radiant and glowwy, something no other scrub has done. Also it melts in the shower so no gritty remains and it's just abrasive enough but not so much it seems useless.

Jojoba Oil
Favorite moisturizer, sinks right in and keeps my skin soft.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Hate the smell but a wonderful toner.

Softlips Balm with SPF
For when I get chapped lips. Simple with spf.

Vaseline Intense Moisture Lotion
My skin's never super dry so this serves the purpose.

Burt's Bee radiance night cream with Royal Jelly. I love it!!! It goes on smooth and didn't make my skin oily at all. Plus, it gave my skin this demure glow. Love it!!!

Carmex lipbalm in the pot. Awesome. My lips never dry with this on. Be sure to get the pot, the tube and the stick just don't work the same.

Purpose cleanser: best gentle cleanser I used, also remove makeup and does not leave a moist layer on my oily skin like cetaphil.

Pond's cold cream and Johnson & Johnson baby wipes
Cheap and effortlessly remove your make up

Rosebud's slave- Best lip balm ever

St Ives apricot scrub

Maybeline for the best mascara ever

don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but my favorite masque ever (and i have tried loads) is the queen helene mint julep masque... it's so absurdly cheap and sucks all the yuck out. if i feel a zit coming on i pop this on for 10min and the next morning it's gone!

aquaphor.:heart: A tub of it is like 8 or 9 dollars. It's similar to vaseline except it has a few more active ingredients which make it actually make a difference instead of just coating your lips with petroleum jelly (although that is the base ingredient). It works when you have those terribly dry lips in winter or from a drying medication (like accutane) or anything else. I use it daily on the lips but if I have a rash or dry skin I use it on the inside of my elbows or wrists or wherever needed. Also great to slather on the feet and put the socks on at nighttime.

Also, those Palmer's cocoa butter lotions are not bad and really cheap. Actually I like to use them to smell my hands and kill a chocolate craving.:ninja: They smell really rich.

Cheapest!

Distilled witch hazel 50p - 75p

This is a life saving toner for me aswell, it clears up the skin dramatically

Dispersable Aspirin 13p - this is the cheapest and most effective skin care product for me, aspirin comes from a natural bi product of bay trees or something their sap and it contains one potent ingredient most skin care washes contain at a fraction of the price, salicylic acid. its safe and has an amazing effect for me

Use this as a mask with about 7 pills mixed with water or aloe vera or honey

  • rimmel gentle eye makeup remover (the only kind that doesn't sting or fog my eyes)
  • covergirl volume exact mascara
  • strawberry chapstick
  • new york color highlighter pencil (this is great for on the inner corner of your eyes, tops of cheekbones, and cupid's bow)
  • boots lipliner in 'nude' (a great neutral liner)
  • physician's formula baked shadow trio in 'baked smokes' (beautiful silver, grey, and black.... goes on great wet or dry)
  • sonia kashuk eyelash comb (has the tiniest little metal teeth  but works amazingly well)

this green gel stuff for the face from st. ives, it's about 3$ but it works as good as my 28$ face gel (it's cooling and could be considered as a moisturiser for oily skins)

i forgot Rimmel Diva Red - best drugstore red lipstick, and still my favorite 'true red'.

Almost everything by Neutrogena is fabulous for me.

Maybellene Soft n Full Mascara - it doesn't do too much but I think it's just perfect for those days where you're just not in the mood for makeup and/or too rushed.

Rimmel nailpolish and their eyeliner. They have some good colors, and while they don't last forever, the price-performance ratio is very good! I currently love their red nailpolish - Celebrity Bash, and their eyeliners in purple, green, and silver.

for how long should aspirin mask stay on face? I mean when do I have to wash it off?

^ if you mix it with only water, it'll start to dry up and flake off after a few minutes... that's as long as i can usually go. mixed with honey, i'm not quite sure?

^ oooh, i love the Alba Coconut Cream.... so soothing.
