Cheaper handbags??

I noticed that the vast majority of threads are on designer handbags are really expensive. I know that the quality is worth the price for these, but as a high school/soon-to-be college student, I simply can't justify spending that amount on a bag. What brands do you guys reccomend for less expensive bags, like something under $200?

Its a matter of personal preference but I always fancied Guess bags in that price range. Again, I like things that are a bright and energetic though so they're not for everyone.

I've seen Tommy Hilfiger and Ralf Lauren bags that were under that price range as well. I didn't purchase but the Ralph Lauren one atleast seemed to be made of a good leather. Also Nine West could fall into that category.

There's a store up here in Canada that carries "designer" labels at cheaper prices. Its called Winners. Not sure what they have similar down there. I find that they usually have good "no name" bags for a reasonable price that are of good quality. Italian leather and what not.

Yay - someone else who doesn't want to be spending incredible amounts of money A good amount of the less expensive bags at Coach sell under $200 Otherwise, I like Nine West and Ralph Lauren bags.

I saw that today in person. Actually pretty nifty.

I went to look at this one today but the store I visited didn't have it in.

Depending on the size, it may become my carry all for summer. I always have my purse with me at work but then also bring a large tote that hauls books, my lunch etc. etc. It usually lands on the floor and gets generally abused to a major investment isn't something I want to make on it. I currently use a large pink Guess logo bag for the job and its holding up but a refresher is in order. I'm also mulling over the new Burburry Tote for this job. As usual, their darned website is flash so can't link a pic but its a large tote with a black logo lining inside a clear plastic outside. About a 200$ difference between the Guess and the Burberry up here. Not too bad.

I tried to look at the Nine West website for you but none of the bags there inspired me. You should try them though, maybe you'll see something spark? Marc Jacobs also has a few nylony ones out for this season that are cheap. Although I saw this one in the store on Wednesday and it was a bit too floppy for my tastes.

If it was a bit...tighter or structured looking.

At this point i'm just procrastinating doing housework by randoming searching for bags as opposed to helping.....

I just got a few new purses yesterday (3 to be exactly) from a local boutique- they were deux lux and all the purses from this brand were very cute and under $100! Wonderful for school and when you want a bag you don't care if you mess up!

I never liked Guess handbags, too kitchy and cheap looking.

Coach has some nice bags this season in luscious colors.

Ok definately Longchamp!!! The best!! They are even less than 100$. They are designer handbags (considered luxury products), tons of colours, tons of sizes and very good quality!! You will love them!!!!!!
