Handbags : Yay or Nay?

The Rachel Zoe Morrison (cannot believe I'm saying that), without a doubt. The shape resembles Givenchy's Nightingale.

I really don't know if I am in the right thread. If not, mods please redirect me :flower:

I want to purchase my first "proper" designer handbag. My amazing fiancé helped me narrow my choices from 9 to 4 and now I need a bit of help from people who knows the models/brands well

What I was looking for:
big: I need my bag to be able to hold my things from my 10" laptop to my headphone..
Black: I really want something that could mesh well with my existing wardrobe. Something that I could use for my everyday life
Resistant: I tried to avoid additional things on it/heavy design that could break/get lost/fall you get the idea

What I found:
- Saffiano Venice gardener's tote bag (Prada)
- Fendi 2jours tote
- cabas chyc large leather shopper (YSL)
- PS13 large leather shopper

I have never bought handbags from those houses so if anyone can provide feedback on quality/durability that would be fab  Also: I was thinking of buying the bag online and was wondering if 1- it was a good idea, 2- if I should wait for the sale (summer?) 3- very silly question but my fiancé wants me to insure my bag.. Has anyone ever done it? It's for his own sanity as he put it

Worth it... or not? H&M Premium Quality leather tote (99€:(
hmprod

H&M.com

I really really like it, I think it's a nice everyday bag, but I don't know... Is H&M bag worth paying almost 100€? But on the other hand Zara bags are also pricey, but I've never heard anyone complain about it. :D

^I think the price is quite reasonable, since it's real leather.
Did you check that bag out at a store? You should first look at it in store, to see what it really looks like and whether the materials are okay etc.
I've had the experience of really wanting a bag from H&M website, but in real life it looked hideous and the quality wasn't too great.

I've already seen it in person and I think it's pretty well made. Ah, who am fooling, I have already made my decision. :D

if you can buy it in store i would sign up for H&M's email list with a throwaway address that way you can at least use the coupon on it. :flower:

^ I don't think that'll work, because their online store doesn't ship to Slovenia.

I really like the H&M bag - it kind of reminds me of Prada bags, and the shape is definitely a classic. As for the price, it's a bit high for H&M in my opinion... but then again it's leather and as a poster said above, Zara leather bags are also around that price point.

Hello ladies and gentlemen

I need your assistance in picking a new bag for traveling. I've narrowed it down to these three candidates.

The first one - the two-toned bag is from Trussardi.

The next two bags are from Zanellato in brown crocodile-ish leather and in simple black.

If it helps you to make your pick I mostly wear black and navy. On a rare occasion I might dress in dark brown shoes or jackets but never brown jeans.

Which one is yay and which one is nay?

Pictures are taken from Thecorner.com and Zanellato.com

Regarding your style explanation, I think the first one from Trussardi would fit best.
Of course you should take many things into consideration, e.g. which one would be the most convenient, easiest to organize, how long will it last you (quality wise).
As I said the first one would look best imo, but the Zanellato bags' leather doesn't seem to be as sensitive which makes them better for traveling.

Tough decision for sure, but I hope the points I take into consideration when choosing a bag might help you as well.

i like the first and last best.

the crocodile print is just a bit too trendy and almost loud in a way...

black/brown combo is great but the leather also looks really nice and totally classic on the last bag

I really like the design and shape of the Trussardi. It could be the stuffing but it seems more 'hardy' than the other two. I also like the 3rd all black leather Zanellto it just lacks interesting style elements that would make it more stylish vs utilitarian which it looks good for.

Is it brown or black?
If it's brown, it's definetely daring, kinda vintage looking and think if you can assume that look often enough to make it a worthy purchase. I personally Like it!
If it's black, it's a little more on the classic side, then again combining it with navy does make it more 21st century, but it could go with more stuff...
In the end really, it's Your choice!
