I was shocked too, but a part of me does think that she deserves it as it will be huge for her career. I'm really looking forward to the whole issue, and just to see what VOGUE UK does with her. When I read that she will be wearing gold, I just automatically just thought of Kate's December cover.

I compared Cheryl and Victoria because like its been stated there are some very obvious similarities Footballer Husband, both found success in a Girl Band and they've both made an impact of the Fashion Industry, Victoria more so. But my comment wasn't meant to get anyone riled on comparing them.

I am excited to see Cheryl's cover on British Vogue, however really she hasn't done anything to earn the Vogue cover, she's made friends with Matthew Williamson and like said above thrown on a few designer dresses for Xfactor.

If you think about it she's a very luck and beautiful girl, the press in the UK have been very kind to her and propelled her to fame since her husband cheated and they have created an image for her which is why a lot of people believe the same as Fairy "shes so genuine and down to earth....despite her fame she seems like shes the girl next door...like one of 'us' almost!" An image that we actually don't even know is true, and remember that when she was Cheryl Tweedy she was charged for assault of a Cleaning attendant at a night club, not really girl next door behaviour in my mind.

Don't get me wrong I do really like Cheryl Cole though it may not sound like it from what I've wrote above. But this is a very beautiful and talented woman who has worked hard on her image and has also been extremely lucky with certain circumstances.

I think Victoria's gotten to a level where she's incomparable to any other WAGs. She shops with Dolce and Gabbana, and is a muse of Marc Jacobs. She has her own clothing line, and is famous world wide, whereas Cheryl is not. Just look at the popularity of this thread, in comparison to Victoria's thread.

And that was like five or six years ago, she certainly doesn´t have the same image like back then. You change a lot during five years.

I've always thought she was the most beautiful girl from Girls aloud, I was a big fan back when I was 'young' (6th grade?) haha. I think she is VERY pretty, probably one of the prettiest celebs I know. I know that sounds kind of like a big statement to make because there are a lot of beautiful celebs out there, but for me Cheryl is pretty much flawless

I totally agree with you Cheryl Cole probably has changed a lot since she attacked the cleaning attendant. I was just pointing it out because people easily forget the bad stuff she did back then because of the way she is portrayed now.

I love Cheryl Cole, but I won't be taken in on what the media say about her because they're so one sided atm, I literally only rely on what she says through quotes.

And I know when I compared Victoria and Cheryl before I riled people. However the comparisons are very similar, and going from what colourmepretty said IMO she has a long way to go before she's anywhere near VB's standard in the fashion industry.

When I´ve seen Off the record documentary I thought she was quite annoying in some parts (funny in other). But watching X Factor made me love her, she was so sensitive, emotive, she really cared for the contestants.

And yes she´s "far away" from Victoria, but what Victoria do besides fashion? Nothing much (I don´t count family life) but Cheryl´s got "her" band, she has to do all the promoting stuff with GA, touring..etc. She wouldn´t have much time to do some kind of "fashion career".

Thats very true she doesn't have time for a Fashion Career however I think if she ever does try to have a soley fashion career she will face the same problems VB has in the past, "banging down doors" because of her being in the Spice Girls and Cheryl will have the same problems because of Girls Aloud.

The thing is Victoria had all that back when she sang and was a Spice Girl. She had it last year too when the Spice Girls did their reunion. Each to their own, I guess.


Nonetheless, I think Cheryl is as close to perfect as it gets. Of course I love Victoria Beckham but, Cheryl is just so much more gorgeous than her. In fact, I think she's the most gorgeous celeb. out there, cause I can't think of anyone else who would match her level of attractiveness. Her style has changed for the better throughout the past few years too, and I'm glad that she's transformed so much.

Yeah she had it but for about half a year or something more? And honestly Victoria is not the best singer and dancer, Cheryl is also not so strong vocally but she is amazing dancer. She gives all into her performances.
GA are still going and now they´re stronger than ever. Ok, maybe it´s not the best comparision cause SG were know worldwide and GA are famous mostly in UK. I think in music career Cheryl is much better than Victoria. Also in terms of fashion Cheryl´s outfits were imo better and more interesting. When I think about Victoria all that comes in to my mind is the black colour and almost the same style of dress. Nothing exciting.

I agreed with everything else you said but not that, Victoria has a much better grasp on Fashion IMO and she's often wearing loads of different outfits, from dresses to suits to various different pieces, and she knows how to excessorize really well, I love the various different hats,bags etc she pairs with all her outfits plus the killer heels by Marc Jacobs. But this forums not about VB so I'm going to stop comparing them both now and won't do it again

After winning the X Factor with her protegee Alexandra Burke and getting over her marriage troubles, it seems Cheryl Cole is going from strength to strength.

The Geordie singer-turned-talent judge, 25, has been voted the coolest female celebrity of 2008 in a poll by teenage users of social networking site Bebo.

Joining her as the coolest male celebrity is High School Musical heart-throb Zac Efron, 21.

X Factor judge Cheryl scored four times as many votes as any other female celebrity in the poll, proving her popularity has obviously been boosted by her time on the TV show.

Following the Girls Aloud singer was Harry Potter star Emma Watson, 18, at two and TV presenter Alexa Chung, 25, at three.

love cheryl, and in post472 think her legs look amazing (despite reading somewhere that she wishes they were longer), but agree with shuffle, but for some reson if you say anthing barely negative about cheryl, its like hitting a puppy! seems very wrong! but obviously she's not flawless, but along with her looks and charisma, has been clever enough to create a very positive media image, i think she's gonna be around alot longer and has more potential than anyone would have expected.
