Chicago shopping

mjjluver: Your coming at a good time, sales season. Definitely check out Blake, one of the best women's boutiques in North America. Saks (Commes Des Garcons/Junya Watanabe) and Barney's (Rick Owens/McQueen/Balenciaga) is on sale at 40%.

Blake (Womens) - Currently on 1st Sale Cycle (30% to 40%)
212 W. Chicago Avenue (Btw Franklin/New Orleans)
LINES: Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeuleemester, Margiela (0/4/6), Viktor & Rolf, Marni, Undercover, Ricarrdo Tisci, Hussein Chalayn, Balenciaga, AF Vanderwust, Rick Owens (Mainline, Lillies, Darkshadow),
OPINION: One of the best women's boutique in North America.
OTHER: One of the first to bring in Margiela, Dries and Ann Demeuleemester into the states. Friends with owners of IF Boutique in NYC. Had Mens up until 2002 carrying mostly Belgium designers, Margiela, Ann D, Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten. Exclusive agreement for Dries Van Noten Womens in Chicago.

Ikram (Womens)
873 North Rush St
LINES: Junya Watanabe, Commes Des Garcon, Rick Owens
OPINION: Comparable to Blake.

Robin Richman (Mens/Womens)
LINES: Gary Graham, Anti-Past, Chalayan
OPINION: Hidden little gem. Robin does a really good eclectic buy. Worth a look if you are in the Bucktown/Wicker Park area. Not your "normal" Wicker Park store...much better.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'll definitely be visiting all three places i'm glad I'm going at a good time.

JJohnson, do you know any nice vintage/thrift shops in chicago? Such as stores that sell the cheap vintage, but not the collectable high priced vintage clothing. Thank you :flower:

Hollywood Mirror
812 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL
has lots of cheap vintage clothes and furniture

Ragstock
812 W. Belmont, 2nd Floor
has cheap vintage and new clothes but you have to look through alot of clothing to find something

and
Una Mae's Freak Boutique
1422 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago IL 60622
its small but usually has a better selection

OOOOOOOOOO THX A LOT! Im sooo going!! :D :D :D

Most people usually go to Michigan Ave to shop, but other places have some cute stuff like along W Armitage Ave. There's a cute store called Art Effect that sells clothes and stationary. It kind of reminds me of Anthropologie. There's also another store there (forgot the name) where you can make your own handbag.

Wow thats cool....what is Anthropologie?

J.Mendel that is pretty impressive. You think Chicago would have more designers like emporio armani,D&G,DolceGabbana,Dior,Fendi,Just Cavalli...They still have a nice selection of stores just seems like they would have more designers than they do.
