Chicago shopping

Anyone know where I can buy designer (preferably Dior) prescription eyeglasses in Chicago? Thanks! :flower:

Try Optika on Oak street or Westfield Mall (Nordstrom mall). There is also an eyeglass place in 900 N. Michigan Ave on the 6th floor.

Is the Marc by Marc Jacobs store open yet?

i've been wondering the same thing. it was mentioned in the big Chicago shopping feature in Lucky Magazine's November issue, which makes me think it's either open or well on its way.

Yeah, I saw the exact same article! So that made me wonder...

I think it is open! The Chicago Fashion Magazine had an ad for it on the back cover and the address was on Damen, so perhaps I'll go see

^^ Ooooh please let us know either way! :buzz:

Apple Inc. aims to put down roots on State Street as part of the Block 37 project.
Joseph Freed & Associates LLC, the Palatine-based developer of the retail and residential portion of the project, is in talks with Apple, as well as a host of other higher-end retailers including Coach, Puma, J. Crew and Zara, sources familiar with the plans say.

Landing marquee tenants like iPod- and iPhone-maker Apple would be a major coup for Block 37, a seemingly jinxed Loop parcel that defied development efforts for decades. Apple also would give State Street a dose of the cachet found mostly on Michigan Avenue.

The stores in the Block 37 project, which also includes an office and residential tower and a new Chicago Transit Authority subway station, are to open in late 2008. Only one retail lease, a David Barton Gym, has been confirmed.

Isn't this the building they're constructing across the street from Macy's? It looks very nice!
