Chloé S/S 2026 Paris

I love the sharp pivot to another mood and tone, which is now in The 80s.
It means she's creatively pragmatic.

The Other side of the eighties bubble wraps gathering, soft pink, shoulder pads, i don't think young girls have ever been in contact with clothes like this For a couple of generations , so it's interesting. This is definitely not an edgy girl very gwyneth paltrow in great expectations.

Once you get past those terrible florals the collection is strong. I honestly prefer her take on the 80s vs "Boho Chic"

A very different proposal from past collections but it is a refreshing move. I like it.

As some have said, casting was truly a problem, Chloe calls for a mood of breezy confidence, a spark in the eyes, windswept hair, a gait in the step. All the opening floral looks which were tricky to begin with were completely dragged down by the new faces giving that dead eyed Gen Z stare..totally wrong for the house. Things picked up the moment Bette emerged, then the classic Chloe girls came out to save the rest of the show. Piergiorgio stumbled, bring back Ashley asap.

I like this. It's not all successful, but it has a point of view and it's very Parisian (in a way that don't see as often now). Shades of Sonia Rykiel.

Imo there’s no such thing as a “bad” print it’s just what the designer decides to do with it, and in the first few looks, she chose the questionable way of handling it

The second part of the show… it’s sooooooo Balmain, I am sure Oliver Rousteing’s clients who miss that era of Balmain will be pleasantly pleased to buy a few pieces from this collection

But in essence, this is not Chloe. Where’s the “lightness” associated with the house? (Yes I know Karl did something like the violin dress that’s formal af but there’s a “feathery flair”/“weightlessness”/“lightness/brightness” to it, where is that in this collection?)

First part is a total aberration, very Macy’s shop floor from 2012 with those matchy-matchy blouses and slim pants and cheesy summer dresses.

Then you get to all those drapey pastel numbers that are very Montana but they are too much and they overwhelm the models, she could have reigned them in more and maybe she will do exactly that on the commercial version of these look.

In general the color palette reads as too high street “Spring’s Here!” drop and it’s very cheapening. Some burgundy could cut through so much saccharine.

To end the collection you have tons of ruffles which are contract mandated at Chloé but very badly done in here and a couple dresses that are actually ok but they look a bit out of place considering everything that came before.

In short is a bad show however, I agree that this could evolve into something better in the coming seasons.

Having terrible flashbacks thanks to that lipstick.

You know something climbed out of hell when even models look washed out in it.

Very Golden Girls, specifically Bea Arthur and Rue McClanahan.
