CAMPING at Kaiaua with her relations over summer is important to gorgeous modelling sensation Chloe Graham from Auckland.
The 14-year-old beauty — a rising star both nationally and internationally — has spent the past week “chilling out” with family at the idyllic coastal location north of Tolaga Bay.
Roughing it on the East Coast for the third year in a row was Chloe’s preference over a modelling job in Japan.
“It is so quiet and peaceful here. I love this time. I get to hang out with my cousins, uncles, aunties and Sophie my dog,” she said.
Chloe features throughout the December issue pages of Cleo magazine.
Discovered last year while browsing through a bookshop, she has received international interest from Woman Models Management Paris, Metropolitan Models Paris, Supreme Models New York, Image Models Tokyo and IMG models New York.
The five-foot, 10-inch blue-eyed stunner also graces the fashion pages of Crème with “besty” modelling pal Emily Trigg (15), another Kiwi beauty receiving favourable international recognition.
Both are signed with 62 Models and Talent in Auckland, and worked for top New Zealand talent including Black Magazine, Helen Cherry and Zambesi.
Her best modelling experience so far has been a recent trip to New York where she met IMG Models - ranked as the world’s number one international model management firm — staff and clients.
“I was introduced to New York and met with a number of clients.
“The people were all really nice . . . surprisingly so. You just had to open a map and people stopped to help. They like Kiwis. I hope to be going back there soon.”
Her main advice to young girls wanting to pursue a modelling career is . . . choose an agency with a good reputation.
“Modelling is fun. I do ensure my jobs are age-appropriate though.
“I didn’t think I would ever be a model. I thought about pursuing something in the sciences area.”
Chloe was sad to be leaving the East Coast and her tranquil piece of paradise on Sunday but was looking forward to her return trip next summer.
She has a modelling campaign for fashion store Dotti in Sydney this week. A similar campaign for Glassons was completed before she came on holiday.
With long legs curled up on the deckchair and amazing blue eyes hiding behind large white-trimmed glasses, Chloe looks like any other teenager but her pictures tell another story.
Her features, enchanting to the camera lens, are reminiscent of Dutch supermodel Doutzen.
While on holiday the young teenager — a tomboy at heart — spent her time racing along the beach and hills behind her campsite on her Uncle Colin’s motorbikes, boogie boarding and kayaking in the surf with stinging jellyfish, kicking back with her cousins and relaxing with a holiday novel.
