Christian Dior F/W 2007.08 : Jessica Stam by Craig McDean

its horrilbe. there was so much potential too. stam plus the old hollywood feel of the collection. i was at least expecting a finger wave in the hair or something

this is just dull
i agree 100%

these are ugly imo

These are really cool ! I like them more than the spring ones.

I like the colors but Stam looks like Kim Norda here. It's okay. The last good Dior ad imo was Angela Lindvall's mirrored cherry blossom.

So true! Those were the last good ones.
I studies the ads more closely, now I got them in print myself, and it's all a bit boring, isn't, the bright colours do stand out, but the whole concept of the ad is just boring, there is nothing going on, bland facial expression, boring poses. It weren't for the colours and the hideous hair, this could have been a Max Mara ad.

Im suprised that most people seem to dislike the ads so much, they are actually my favorite Dior ads in awhile, but I also just love this collection so much, the green one especially is very striking, as long as this dress is featured in the campaign, Ill be happy:D

^ Yeah I really hope they feature some of the more elaborate gowns in some of the ads.

I know now what annoys me the most about this campaign: Jessica's face looks like a huge pancake :ninja:

Nick Knight should return to Dior. I don't like the turbid colors in those pics. :(

can't agree more!

But to me, the ads are unexpectedly more disappointing than the last season:cry:

I second the orange dress suggestion - it's vibrant, well-made and beautiful; all things generally needed for an advertisement. With that being said, however, I would enjoy seeing some of the neutral toned clothing being used (such as this outfit).

As much fun as they are to look at (they really are vibrant) they could have been ten times better. With all the forties camp on the runway, I'd expect some nod to Hollywood screen sirens, even if it was just the hair and makeup.

Somehow this just comes off as lazy, it's hardly creative to take the color directly from the clothes and call it a concept.

Now if they took those galmourous gowns and put them in a setting like my avatar, that would have been better suited to the collection.

That's actually how I had imagined the advertisements (in a perfect world).

I dont think Stam was right for this somehow...neither is the styling, hair, makeup, or the theme, I dont see how this fits in with the hollywood theme...

SOOOO UGLY!
I really love the Knight Era, McDean works so bad with this label.

^I think it's too early to judge. This is only McDean's second Dior campaign. The last couple of Dior campaign's by Knight were awfull, anyway imho.
