Christian Dior F/W 2025.26 Paris

Using "J´Adore Dior" lightly customized t-shirts several times in a collection is a new laziness level.

Mary-Grace, we know you are angry with LVMH for giving you the boot...but this collection looks more like a revenge against them than a swan-song (unless you considered putting a bomb inside the swan).

The most ambitious set she has ever done. It was an interesting set but confusing pattern as well. She can't keep it simple because her clothes are not giving much. The clothes essentially are none event. I would say they are a tiny above her average but they are very mid. During her tenure, all the clothes, commercially successful or not, are very basic. Red carpet pieces are mid, except the reedition or archival design. I hope they announce a new CD soon. This house is in serious need of life source. It's like a dying tree that still gives you some fruits but you want it to look amazing, grow bigger and be even more fruitful.

It's just such a booooore, like all of her tenure.

The only thing I like are the textures of some of the fabrics. The netting jackets are very victoriana, but the way it's put together doesn't create much excitement.

I'm scared of a sterile, lab-grown look from JWA, I want someone who can bring a lush and romantic look to Dior, someone who makes you dream of silhouettes and fabrics!

Beautiful, high-quality, and wearable. But ultimately a non-event. Her lack of imagination is puzzling, even WITH all of the corporate constraints of LVMH.
But she used to be a little more creative in the beginning what happened, I definitely think it's corporate they want to sell as much as they can in her vocabulary so she has to stay in this realm. There's no way she's this bored or just stopped designing, the set and art around this collection should have pulled together a much more fanciful show. No colors just one red no colors in the evening wearing nothing strange.

That’s a lot of stuff.
Do Dior needs so much stuff when they are going to have a change of creative direction?
I guess most of this won’t be produced and when it does, it will hit the outlets.

Making beautiful wearable clothes has never been a weakness of MGC. Making beautiful, interesting, aspiring and inspiring wearabke clothes has been.

What I will remember from her era is that for such a feminist designer, she has never presented her clothes on girls that looks beyond 20. The teenager vibe of her clothes has always threw me off.

they really thought they were doing something wit those 3 segments and nonsensical apparatus…
no cohesion with the clothes whatsoever who were beyond terrible. there was one interesting outfit (the two leather piece with the Victorian shirt under).

I have never enjoyed her collections and this one probably takes the cake. to end a tenure like this (if it’s really her last one) is just unbelievably bad.
