Christian Dior F/W 2016.17 Paris

I'm really dissatisfied with this collection, I think it looks boring and I don't see any innovation. What was good with Raf was at least the fact that the collections felt fresh in some way, even though not everything was groundbreaking. This just feels very tame and boring to me

lol.. bless those thinking this is a step up from Raf's work. Though it makes sense they'd say that, this has got to look a lot closer to the expectations they always had..

This is sooooo for like an upper east side old lady, or anyone into that anyway, olivia palermo ..

What did you expect? It is an in-house collection. It has to be that way: some normal clothes that are sellable enough till they find someone with a vision.

It is obvious they wanted something in the vein of what Raf has been doing so the image of Dior stays as unaltered as possible. And whoever was in charge of it succeeded because it doesn't create a strong opinion. You see it, you forget about it in two seconds. That's it. It's like it doesn't exist.

far too bourgeois, some good pieces here and there but, it makes me remember how i miss galliano

Quite nice, comparing to the disaster of couture, but... where are the pants ??

I need a video. the soundtrack is amazing. Lovely collection, love every single piece

I don't hate it but it's entirely forgettable which is just not what Dior should be. I really hope they can get a fresh new direction who takes the house well into the future soon.

It makes no (zero, none, zilch, nada) sense to say this is better than what Raf did when it looks like high street knockoffs of Raf's work.

Piss poor.

Yes, and at least i remember every work he did, unlike this forgettable mess.

Not a bad collection. But these are what Proenza Schouler and Alexander Wang have done before. It's like the house is trying to be edgy but without Raf, it falls short.

Nonetheless, the are not many hideous looking which is very trendy nowadays. I see some flattering clothes in there. I like the new edited bags.

i love the bags and the shoes

the rest of it is pretty dull...how many times can you show a boring coat with bare legs??

If this isn't proof that they're looking for a designer replacement, nothing is. This is a shameless placeholder. It's Raf 2.0, without the little grace it had.

I don't think is bad. I liked some pieces more than Raf did before.

I actually liked some outfits and pieces. But I can't resemble this collection with Dior at all.

It gets pretty decent toward the end with a lovely white dress and coat, and the red coat. The dress with the print sprouting at the shoulder and down one side is laughably bad. But this looks considerably more like recent Dior than the Lanvin placeholder looks like Lanvin. Someone who's been buying Dior could reasonably buy some of this.

Its not as tortured or clinical as it was under Raf. But its dull along with most of the Paris collections I have seen thus far

It's a great improvement from Raf's work, and it's impressive considering the circumstances. It's okay but nothing particularly stands out to me here.
