When I saw the first thumbnail I got depressed haha, it looked so terrible, but now I can breathe looking at the full image xD. It's true that the hair looks terrible; very Madonna-singing-Give-It-2-Me-like. I like the ad anyway, maybe not the hair but the whole thing looks great to me. I'm not depressed anymore lol

It looks better than any other Dior campaigns McDean has shot.

I'm with Dale. I absolutely do not get why they chose some limp, dirty, choppy looking hair instead of that amazing hairstyle from the runway. But then again, Dior has really always done that even when the ads were amazing. They have Pita and McGrath come up with incredible beauty looks and then have the model look all "natural" in the ads. I've never understood it.

Needless to say there's nothing about this that makes me want to see more.

However, the hair? The actual show had two highlights: the fertility goddess heels and the hair. Both captured what the collection was supposedly about and how it should have looked like...I really wish they used the hairdo from the show here as well, it would have looked perfect.

I don´t have anything againts the hairdo on Gisele, maybe it is just me but she looks a little kate moss-ish, but as you say, why to make the collection even more accesible trough simple styling, there was such little drama on the catwalk to begin with that this is simply not enaugh for fashionistas.

Although comercially speaking it is more likely to catch women´s attention alluring them with a simpler image like this, they now don´t need to be a fertility goddess to carry the Dior summer 09 look, they only need to be similar to Gisele..., which isn´t at the end a sort of modern fertility goddess anyway?...

After seeing a better version, the hair is indeed a bit odd. At least it seems that this campaign is a bit more dynamic than the previous 3 McDean efforts.

No, this is as horrible as all the post 80s Dior ads. Gisele and Dior is a particularly bad match. I cannot fathom why this dreadful beat goes on...

the full shot is better than the half as it sells the shoes and clothes but all the same the hair just ruins it

I'm starting to wonder how the more vibrant coloured pieces will fit with the beige background? I wonder if they have changed the colour of the backdrop?
I was actually expecting the backdrop colours to be the same as the runway backdrop.
