I don't know how I feel about the rest.. he's struggled for so long, sometimes unveiling his work months after fashion week and on facebook only, and he's somehow sustained himself all the way through until now, which is a miracle given that every one of his peers has not made it, so to complain about this commercial production and how NYFW it all feels seems a bit insensitive, but.. I feel a little bit like that?. It's not awful and whatever it takes to survive, but his usual work tends to feel like a shot of oxygen.. fresher, younger, dreamy prints and knits.

The bright to dark lineup is kind of cheap but the clothes are actually really good. The blue sweater with the faux lapel is so easy on the eyes.

I certainly hope he sees more success.

He’s definitely done better than this. The colors and prints are still well-appointed, but I think his restraint here weakened any potential this collection might have had. This is missing the usual combinations and contrasts of his previous work. I hope this is only a temporary misstep and not any sort of portent for the label.
