Legendary model Christie Brinkley and her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, have signed with international modelling agency IMG. The supermodel - who turns 60 in February - has appeared on more than 500 magazine covers and her 15-year-old daughter has been learning fast.
"Christie's appeal is timeless," Ivan Bart of IMG Models told WWD. "She is a legend in the business and continues to successfully expand her fashion presence and impact as a humanitarian, health and fitness advocate. Sailor is also a classic beauty, who I'm confident will have many opportunities to explore in the world of modelling and beyond."
Brinkley-Cook - whose father is Brinkley's fourth and now ex-husband Peter Cook - has already scored a cover with her famous mother, for American magazine Bella in July of this year, and appeared in the Claire's Accessories Back To School campaign which also featured One Direction.
Brinkley posted a picture of her daughter at the offices of IMG in August with the words: "May the wind always be at your back, all sails up and colourful spinnaker flying! Sail on to all your dreams my little Sailor! You have a great crew. Congratulations!" but this is the first time the double signing has been confirmed. Brinkley was represented by Elite for the majority of her modelling career.
