^ Thank you darling!! I wonder what the average model agent would say if young Christy walked into an open call today... As beautiful as she is, I wonder if her curves would limit her modeling career these days...Times and tastes have changed, not really for the better, I would say...

^^ I agree. I think we could all benefit from more girls like Christie in the modeling world, especially the commercial market.

I mean, LOOK at the commercial model market right now. You can have either playboy-looking blondes or exotic Brazilians. That's really it!
Marisa Miller is probably as close as SI etc. gets to have an all-American model and she's NOTHING compared to Christie. Her body is too jagged and her sexuality is too hyper-real and not interesting at all ( I do like Marisa though.)

I think the American girl needs a comeback!
I actually think Askmen.com said it best in relation to Cheryl Tiegs ( another true American beauty). I know, I hate this site but IMO this really says it all:

Her brand of sex appeal was unique because it was natural and devoid of the sleaze we have grown accustomed to today. And unlike the girlish waifs we have been subjected to by perverted designers who have forgotten the true shape of a woman, Tiegs had a real body. It was beautiful and attainable and in our opinion, missed.

Those were the days- we could do with a few more like Christie, Cheryl Tiegs, Kim Alexis, Carol Alt, Kelly Emberg, Patti Hanesn- all great toned bodies, sexy, beautiful and very healthy looking!!
