Christina Aguilera Thinks All Women Are 'Super-Human'

Christina Aguilera is juggling working full-time and being a mom to two-year-old Max, which makes her feel pretty extraordinary.

She said: "I think all of us as women have this super-human quality. We create life, we give life, we are the sources of life for our children -- we're all pretty bionic."

The 29-year-old star, who recently shot her first movie Burlesque with Cher, is thrilled to be working again after taking a break to be with her son. Max, however, doesn't always share her enthusiasm.

She explained: "There definitely are moments when he doesn't want me to talk about work and I very much understand that but I have to feel fulfilled in every capacity of the woman that I am."

Since becoming a mother, Christina has grown increasingly confident with her body and says appearing in Burlesque gave her an outlet for her sexuality.

She added in an interview with The Observer: "For a while your body is definitely not your body and you very willingly give it up for your child, but now I feel more confident and comfortable with what my body can do.

"Plus, I'm just a very sexual person by nature -- that's partly why I agreed to do the movie that I did -- I just think the art of the tease is a beautiful art form."

I bought her c.d and it is honestly amazing!
It may just be her best one yet. and I was obessed with Stripped.

I've never really been a fan of Christina. Well, I always kinda hated her, save from a couple songs here and there, but dang I feel bad for the girl these days. The CD is flopping hard and it seems EVERYONE has turned on her. Like I don't understand how/why people suddenly just TURN on someone like that. I mean, Christina does come off like a real b*tch and all her "girl power" talk is so annoying, but still. Just feel bad.

^ Agree with that.

I feel like this look or image she is going for, it just doesn't come off naturally to me most of the time.

her problem is that she has yet to define who she is as a musical artist. she came out ten years ago and her image and music has changed so much, so drastically, and in my opinion forced and fake.

you don't hear a song and think oh that's so christina. but with other artists like lady gaga (i know i know) or britney, they did their type of music well. even for madonna, she changed throughout her career but it was all still very her.

i liked a few songs off bionic but i was expecting more.

^^^ Simons you hit the nail on the head. It's been a bit over a decade & the public nor does it seem Christina herself know exactly who she is as an artist.

I'm a fan and will probably always be but even I can admit that, the constant image/musical transformations have done more harm than good.

Her and her label (RCA) were under the impression that based on name alone Christina would be able to sell but in todays market you have to pimp your sh*t out! - especially after yet again another long break.

That's where one of the main problem lies, she takes too long in between main recordings and whats worse is that due to her trying to be versatile with ever release she has a new persona. How is anyone supposed to buy what shes selling when it comes off as yet another identity crisis/gimmick et cetera? *smh*

The only constant from Stripped to now is her forever boring need to push her sexuality to the forefront and claim it's female empowerment. Meh.

I wish her well because as I mentioned, I am a fan. Yet I also live in reality and know that the pop world is very fickle and regardless of how great she can sing, if she's not delivering the goods people will move on.

Yep, even her fans call her Floptina.
I've been a fan since Genie In A Bottle, but she makes it so hard to like her. With every album it took ages for me to get used to all the changes. I really love her at the moment, but mainly for her live performances. Most of Bionic is crap and the NMT video wasn't a good move either, IMO. She really needs to reconsider what she actually wants to sell.
But who knows, while all her fans are having meltdowns because of the album only selling 100k copies in its first week she's chilling in the sun in Miami with Kim K., so maybe she really doesn't care after all

I'd love to see her go back to making good pop music instead of all this overproduced trendy club banger stuff. Even her latin phase was better than this!

I love her more and more with each album. She's growing and that's important! I don't think she is changing so drastically. It's more of an evolution to me. She remains true to herself. She's matured to a place where I find her very easy to relate to. BIONIC is incredible. It doesn't have to sell millions of copies to be considered a success. I'd rather she do what she wants to do than try to please the masses. That's far more interesting.

That's the thing though, Christina went back into the studio after wrapping Burlesque to try and garner commercial success ie try and please the masses. Bionic was already finished a year prior to its June 8th release. It was pushed back due to the movie and pushed back again due to more material being added.

Christina didn't stick with her original vision and as much as she would like us to believe that she doesn't care about sales, I would find that more believable if she had kept the more interesting tracks on the standard edition and released one of those songs as oppose to releasing something that sounded dated. After all it was she who constantly brought up that she was going to be working with Ladytron, M.I.A, Santigold, Le Tigre, Sia et cetera.

She fought with the label to have 'Not Myself Tonight' released as the first single and supposedly helped pay for that mess of a video. I would like to say that I see a lot of growth within this Bionic era but instead I see her more so reverting back to Stripped yet the 2002 LP still towers high above.

Adoring Her in the Versace dress in 571-4 - wonderful make-up and the cut of the dress really shows off Her beautiful legs. Wow factor 10!

Christina has many problems..

1.) The kind of music she is making is NOT THAT HOT ANYMORE!!

2.) Her Outfits :yuk:

3.) Her Girlpower-Talk is so unnessary/ annoying

She still is stuck somewhere in year 2000!

And i used to be a BIG BIG Fan!

But time moves on... :(

Seriously she talks as if we're all in some sort of Suffrage movement. It's all just very Spice Girl of her, it was annoying then and it's annoying now.

She does come off as a b*tch sometimes but watch VH1 Storytellers and you will change your mind.

For the NBA Finals, she was asked to sing again:
