Thanks for the pics. One of our very own members was at this show, I hope she contributes to this thread :flower:

i like the white dress, thanks for the topic..
looking forward for the exclusive photos :ninja:

hehe i was there at the show  so upset my pictures turned out terribly, though! sorry the pictures are so blurry! the loooong white gown was the exit #15, the finale...

there were a total of 15 exits in the collection.. i don't know very much about his background, but he worked alongside mme torrente before the haute couture house closed its doors... and this is his FIRST collection under his name.
he had quite a strut when he came out to take his "bow" :D

the show was held on tuesday, january 24th at hotel westin on 3 rue de castiglione in the 1er arrondissement (pretty much right across from the jardin de tuileries) here in paris.

^thanks soo much for posting these exclusive pics, they are gorgeous.
How did you like it?

you're very welcome! i did enjoy it... i thought the pieces were very nice... this is a refreshingly wearable side of haute couture that still retains its spirit, which one could see in the detailing and shapes. i thought it was all very nicely put together. i could also see remnants of previous collections of torrente there too... (particularly one i recall from either the late 90s or early 00). during the show i definitely saw some pieces that *i* would personally want hanging in my closet... :D

Did you attend any other couture shows as well? I'm so jealous.....

I always wondered what was in those little booklets, hehe. I like the white dress in the first post. Thanks for the photos! :flower:

what happened to the 35 outfit rule?

not sure if he really was on the 'official' calendar
some nice work there, i like few pieces, mainly those posted by our own 'correspondent' ;)
thanks again kimkhuu :flower:

^ the rules and steps that designers had to deal before in order to be on the official couture calendar had softened up a lot in recent years to allow new designers to stage shows during couture week and enlarge the calendar, in the past it was so strict that they even had a minimun amount of meters required for the space where the show had to be staged, a minumun of workers per atelier and dresses to be shown, so because of that it was almost imposible for strugling designers to try on Haute Couture.
