I love it all. I found the flats surprising, but an appropriate risk and a statement to Chanel's frenchiness. The show was amazing. They're definitely the darlings of French fashion...
 
Some beautiful stuff, but I continue to find myself underwhelmed with Chanel lately. And the flats ruined some of the looks for me.
 
Does anyone have photos from Chanel cruise collections of 2003 to 2005? If so I would really appreciate it if you would email them to me at [email protected]. Anyone who emails them to me I will email them Chanel's Spring 2008 Act 1 collection, which is beautiful but did not show in the runway. There are about 90 looks and the collection is stunning. Thank You.
 
I'm actually loving the flats more and more because of the way their casualness contrasts with the polish of the actual clothing creating such a total discrepancy. It's made me look at the clothes rather than the look and made me decide how I would style them as opposed to being allowed to be fed the looks. I think he has purposefully made us critics rather than out and out adorers with this show.

Either that or he thought 'sod shoes, I do clothes you know?'

it had never EVER taken this long to upload the video! the next show is just a few hours away!!!
 
^^we can always put the style.com interview on loop/repeat mode, or watch signe chanel over and over again... i dont think i will ever get bored with it!

Does anyone know how much the double headbands are? This... (pic from style)

I think its the one I saw on Ashley Olsen. She has one thats a different color but both bands are the same color & another that each band is different.

I dont want to call a store until I know I can afford it & am actually going to buy it so if anyone can help out Id really appreciate it. Thanks. :flower:
 
from what i see in the picture, i would say 99% positive that is FW08? (this thread is HC SS08)


in case it is fw08, maybe the collection thread would be the most appropriate place to ask, since maybe more tFSers that are Chanel usual clients will be able to tell you. Still, it may be early to ask for a fw08 item... maybe not even the stores know how much it's going to be when it hits the racks in late august.

in case it is HC ss08 and i am a total loser for saying it wasnt... the only solution may be jsut to contact chanel directly. it's not likely that you'll find an haute couture client in the threads... (maybe i am wrong at that too)

:flower::flower: good luck with finding the head band!! :wink: and make sure you post some cool pics of it if you finally decide to get it!! (looks really cute in the show already)

Xan I don't know who sang it but the wobbly sort of music is a hideous take off of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' :smile:
