Christopher Kane Capsule Collection for Topshop

wow, 110 pounds is 200$ american dollars. seems a bit high.

i wonder if there will be anything besides dresses...

i also like the combination of neon and lace.

Mhm... at £110 the dresses are not cheap, especially since my wallet is still recovering from Xmas, but I think I might just have to give in.. of all the "designer capsule collections" for the high street coming out this year, this is possibly the one I'm looking forward too the most.

Not too sure about the 'blush' dress pictured above tho but 'looking forward to seeing the grey one mentioned.

I might just have to queue in my neon pink "Come again Christopher Kane" tee as well hehe..

I wish I were going to be there, scouring for a cheaper version of this or this  :ninja:

the dress is frumpy?? i don't think so. i think it looks really sweet. and i love the lace trim(tea stained,it looks)and that dusky pink...

I don't think the dress looks frumpy either, oh well only time will show. . .

I do love the mixture of lace, the dusty colors and neon. :woot:

Aaah I see it now...its ok, nothing special - the cheap and tacky neon stripe ruins it.

So where's the news going to come from in London next week? The catwalks, or the high street? Hot designers of the moment Christopher Kane and Marios Schwab will unveil capsule collections for Topshop on Saturday, a few days before showing their respective main lines during London Fashion Week. And while the Topshop designer collections, which are generally priced from $83 to $217, might be a fraction of the cost of Kane's and Schwab's regular fare, they have all the trademarks of their full-priced lines. Kane's collection features nude chiffon minidresses with rococo lace trims at the sleeves — and fluorescent zippers — while Schwab's use layered Lycra to create his signature body-conscious silhouettes.

Saturday??

I planned my trip around friday... but it doesn't matter, will just have to do a little plan rearrangement -_-

On a Saturday!?!?!?

My God...that placed is going to be totally mobbed!!!

Ugh!

Saturday? NOOOO
I am going to Paris the same day. I wonder if I could make a pitstop there before I get on the Eurostar...

There is an article on Christopher Kane's (and Mario Schwab's) collection for Topshop in Today's Metro (the free newspaper that is dished out in sheffield everyday), confirming our worst nightmare that yes, it is indeed hitting the oxford circus store on Saturday, not Friday like Vogue had originally reported.

It also came with a new picture of a dress in the collection - dark navy, ruffles on the chest, strapless, zip front creates a "V" shape on the decolletage, with a breeches like shape from the waist down in velvet, and protruding pockets, £120. It was styled with a fluorescent orange bra underneath, and looked pretty decent.

I'll try and get hold of a copy, and scan the article for you guys.

^_^

His name is up on the Topshop website now, but no pictures of his collection...surely his collection has not already sold out online!?!?
