News:( And to think I just saw him on TV yesterday...he seemed like such an incredible person, this is sad.:(

He's done so much for the study of paralysis, and he's inspired SO many people. Hopefully, his memory and spirit will live on for a loooong time.

I just read this, what a shame. :( He'll be remembered by many, I'm positive.

this is so sad...especially since he was so confident that he would walk again...rip

I heard about this through livejournal... (Amazing how quickly news travels now!)

It is so truly sad. It always seemed like he was getting better and taking steps and now it'll never happen. What a brave man though. Maybe we'll have advanced enough eventually that someone in the future will be able to be helped.

"Superman" actor Christopher Reeve, who turned personal tragedy into a public crusade and from his wheelchair became the nation's most recognizable spokesman for spinal cord research, has died. He was 52. Reeve died Sunday of complications from an infection caused by a bedsore. He went into cardiac arrest Saturday, while at his Pound Ridge home, then fell into a coma and died Sunday at a hospital surrounded by his family...

whats more sad is that e had so much hope. i remember he once said that he would walk again...but it was not meant to be :(

he was one of my first heroes

it's just unbelievable, i personally thought he was feeling a lot better and he was so young. God bless his soul

That is such a cynical comment...

I'm still in shock... But in the past couple of years he's looked really bad and kinda strange.. But he sure was a hero enduring that for all those years
