Cillian Murphy

Thanks for that video!
He named just about all my favorite Irish actors in one freakin' film. I might just explode when I watch it. :buzz:

Maybe because he is always doing american accent, when he tries to speak with his original irish one, it's not so strong as it used to be.

He's from Cork isn't he? Different parts of Ireland have softer accents. Not all of 'em sound like the Dubliners a.k.a. Colin Farrell. Not that I'm an expert.

I love that video!
Re: His accent. Yes, he's from Cork. He used to have a thicker Cork accent, (Corkonians are notorious for not being understood because of their accent). So if you've seen Disco Pigs that's more like it was....or even in The Wind That Shakes the Barley. But now he has more of a neutral Irish accent or a Dublin twang sometimes. But he lives in London so you pretty much always get a weaker accent when you're living away from home. Also, it probably helps in interviews when people can understand you without any problems!
Colin Farrell has a thicker accent, but that's more about the area in Dublin you come from than being from a certain part of the country...anyway I suspect he lays his accent on a bit as where he's from not many people speak with such a thick accent.
Re: At Swim, Two Birds.... they're still looking for finance. As the Irish film board is supposed to be part financing it but is in danger of being abolished it's a tricky issue but would be absolutely amazing if it gets to be made.

^Oh, God please let Cillian Murphy and Jonathan Rhys Meyers be in the same movie!!!!
I need a Cillian in my life.

Another project?

Olivia Wilde is set to reunite with her "Alpha Dog" co-stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in Andrew Niccol's untitled thriller, an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.

20th Century Fox is distributing the New Regency project (formerly known as "I'm.mortal"), which is set in a society where aging stops at 25 and time has become the currency. The rich are immortal, while the rest struggle to stay alive.

When a rebel from the ghetto named Will (Timberlake) is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, he's forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage (Seyfried). The duo unite in a battle against the system as they struggle to stay alive.

Wilde will play Timberlake's mother despite being 3 years younger than him in real life. Likewise, 31-year-old "Mad Men" star Vincent Kartheiser recently joined the cast as Seyfried's powerful father.

Cillian Murphy co-stars as a ruthless law enforcement officer tracking the protagonists, and Collins Pennie will play his right-hand man.

Oh, another project! I would love to see him with Olivia Wilde! ^_^
Why Hollywood producers have to put Justin Timberlake in what seems to be good movies? :ninja:

Yay new pics! Thanks Vangie. He looks dashingly handsome as ever.

And he posed with Olivia Wilde. I guess that movie's a go.

As always he pics the most fascinating movies to get involved with. The whole concept sounds really interesting.

I dont know if this has been mentioned (i had no clue) but cillian has an uncredited role in Tron:Legacy and he honestly looks hotter than ever. I was literally like 'Wait. is that cillian murphy?'
The scene he's in should set his character up for the sequel, if it's green-lighted.

^ Seriously? OMG if I had no plans to watch Tron before, I DO NOW. How long is his screentime?

he basically only appears in one scene, that's not even that long... so if you want to see the movie only for cillian i suggest you don't, it's about 5 minutes or less
